yesterday I came to this mall with my younger brother to file my voter's registration but i am pretty disappointed in what i've experience. It's been a while back since my last visit and Because of the registration it is understandable that the parking level is jammed and packed, It is so hot and stuffy in there that it makes me wonder if they forgot to turn on the exhaust fans because the air feels like it is not circulating inside the area and that's making it hard for me to breathe.. after spending almost 30 minutes waiting in line just to pay for the parking fee, we lost another 45 minutes in traffic just to get to level 6 parking site where they said the entrance to the registration area is located. There, we asked a security guard to point us to the right direction. After giving us instructions, the guard told us that we cannot park our motorcycle in that level because "only cars" are allowed to park in area, he told my brother to drive back all the way down to level 2 to park our motorcycle and then use the elevator to come back up to level 6 to assist me to walk after, I ask the guard if he can consider to allow us to park in the empty PWD parking space near the mall entrance so that i dont have to wait for my brother while enduring the heat inside the oven they're calling a parking lot, while balancing myself on one leg and a pair of crutches for god knows how long it would take him to park our motorcycle in a different level and be back again to assist me to the registration area.
#AITA for making my brother park our motorcycle on one end ( we didn't occupied the whole slot) of the "GLEAMING and GLORIOUS" empty PWD parking slot when I notice that no one is looking? Im sorry but being a PWD doesn't make me a less petty person specially when it felt like i am being discriminated.
I just can't understand why they still have a PWD parking space when they're not even letting a PWD to use it. Is it because we're not driving a...
Read moreWent there on a Friday morning with my wife and 2 daughters in order to renew our passports at the DFA satellite office in the mall. I'm PWD and so is my youngest daughter. We took our car and I drove it to the 8th floor of the SM Manila's carpark at 830 am. We were advised at the parking entrance that PWD/Seniors can reach the mall's 5th floor where the DFA office was located from the carpark's 8th floor. When we arrived the guard on duty at the 8th floor back door to the mall told us that that entrance to the mall will be opened at 930 am and it was still only 900am. So we decided to wait in our car which was parked a few meters away while my wife went down to McDonalds to get us some breakfast. By 930 the guard kindly approached us and told us that the entrance was now open. I said to him that I was just waiting for my wife to comeback before we went in. My wife arrived by 10 am and we quickly ate our breakfast in the car so we don't have to bring it into the DFA office. By the time we were done it was already 1015. We went back to the mall entrance and was surprised that it was closed and locked. We had to take an elevator down (I was in a wheelchair) to the 6th floor carpark, enter the mall at the 4th floor, take the mall elevator the the 5th floor in order to reach the DFA satellite office. Then we had to backtrack the same way to get back to our car. My complaint is that the guard at the 8th floor car park was nice enough to call our attention that the backdoor entrance was open but did not mention that it was going to be closed after a few minutes. If he advised that we could have just skipped our breakfast and went straight in instead we had to got a round about way. Very inconvenient for PWD in...
