Manila Prince Hotel - Jan2023

Highly recommended staycation for families on a budget. It has a guarded, free-open-parking space that shares with Manila Doctors. Be sure to get a parking stub in the recep before you go

-They have a pool and a gym facility that everyone can enjoy.

The breakfast buffet is also a plus in this hotel (breads, hotdogs, potato wedges, fresh salad, daing n isda, egg, coffee, juice and water - as far as i can remember)

Staff are also helpful and responds timely on our concerns. Thankful for letting us borrowed a few cutlery and small plates for us to help share a small cake that we bought outside to celebrate my birthday just make sure to give it back directly to the resto and not just leave it in your room.

They also make a call an hour before check out to remind the guest and if we needed assistance with our baggages.

Clean room and with a comfortable bed

They have a detachable clothesline and tissues (2 rolls and 1 hand tissue) already available and kept securely on the side of the sink.

Some that needs improvement (at least on our experience) -

It would be great if at least one of the staff knows the tourist spots around the area and best way to go if possible. Although, taking a cab/car is easy now a days with just a click on the cp, its always a good thing to guide the guest/s around the area with the cheapest possible way and let them know good places to travel.

Drinking water is not unlimited. Be sure to buy or bring your own drinking bottles as they only provide 1 small bottle for each guest. Hope theres an access for guests to have our bottles refilled for free.

Our tub got clogged at once while trying to fill it with a few ounces of water. It was repaired though but the water doesnt drain fast and were kinda concern of getting the same issue again so we just kept it open and not use it.

First time we encountered a rest/washrooms that are too far from the pool. It should have at least 1 mini cr beside it in case that someone needs to take a quick pee or shower before taking a dip in the pool.

The only toiletries provided to us: (good for 2) 1 small bot of shampoo (we requested additional) 2 small circled soaps (we requested additional) 2 dental kits (didnt like the toothpaste) 2 bedroom slippers 2 bath towels 2 small towels blower that is clipped inside the table cabinet outside the bathroom just bring your own things not included in the list above - like conditioner, bath robes, comb, floss, cotton buds, shave..etc.

I think "hard water" is used in the bathroom for no matter how many times I cleanse with soap it still left a sticky feeling in the skin. Not sure how to treat it or probably placing a filter in the shower and faucet may...

The hotel feels outdated and poorly maintained, with everything from the carpets to the mirrors and wood showing signs of wear. It doesn’t give off a sense of cleanliness or tidiness. Based on my experience, I would rate it 1 out of 5 stars. The internet is unreliable and not suitable for those working remotely—it's unsecure and frequently disconnects, which was disruptive during my meetings. The check-in process was painfully slow; I spent over 30 minutes just getting checked in, and even the other guests behind me were visibly frustrated, despite there being four counters open.

I decided to try the food here, and it was even worse than expected. Not only was it overpriced, but the quality was poor—overcooked, bland, and far from what I would consider good value for money. It’s definitely not worth the cost, and I would recommend skipping the hotel’s dining options altogether. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, but refills often took longer than expected. While the kitchen staff were friendly and accommodating, the food didn’t quite live up to its appealing appearance. I had hoped the food would redeem the hotel’s poor service, but it only made the experience more disappointing.

I had two events today, and both had several issues that caused frustration.

Event 1: Luna's Solution Year-End Party: The food was supposed to be ready by 6:30, but by the time we asked guests to line up for the buffet, it wasn’t ready. Even though our clients were already waiting outside, the buffet table only had appetizers, and it was 6:45 before we were able to serve the main course. There was a shortage of staff to assist with serving drinks and water, which created delays and inconvenience.

Event 2: Roxas High School Senior Prom Night: The head waiter was unprofessional and unaccommodating. He was rude to our guests and lacked knowledge about the food service. His attitude was disappointing, especially given his role in customer service. To make matters worse, the rest of the waitstaff began packing up food before the event was even over, which was extremely disrespectful and offensive to us and the guests.

Overall, both events were marred by poor service, and these issues had a significant impact on the experience. I would strongly advise against staying at or hosting any events at this hotel...

An excellent hotel, with 100 percent perfect service and courtesy. When we arrived at the hotel, the security guards greeted us with a smile and opened the taxi door for us and greeted us with a wide smile. Upon entering the hotel, we had to go through a comprehensive security check with a large mirror machine and a magnetometer that checks for the presence of concealed weapons. Just like an airport. We arrived at the reception desk, there was a long line but it moved quickly because the clerks work professionally and quickly. Our turn came and we got an explanation about the hotel services and the baggage man came to help us take our equipment. In a short time we got a room that is nicely clean and smells good and has all the goodies, water bottles, towels, coffee and air conditioning and all the good things. On the floor of the room there are always the carts of the room cleaners and they are always on standby near the elevator to provide and give service and equipment immediately if you ask them. Every approach to the staff is received here with a smile and a respectful "yes sir" or "yes ma'am" "what can I help you with?" The food in the dining room is varied and plentiful, in the morning the meal is the same as at noon, rice and meats with omelette and milk and cornflakes and other good things, the lobby is spacious and large and there are pleasant and comfortable sofas to sit and read newspapers and there is a stand selling coffee and cakes, everything there is clean and tidy. The outdoor pool is clean and tidy, there are lounge chairs and it's fun to be there. The water is clean and the atmosphere is pleasant and good. Overall the hotel looks very nicely decorated, perfectly wheelchair accessible. The rooms are clean, the location is convenient, there are endless taxis and the staff does a faithful job. An excellent hotel that definitely gives the impression that we will return to stay there in the future. The price is reasonable according to the offer we received. not too expensive Highly recommend to come and stay.

I stayed at Manila prince hotel for around 10 days, and I can confidently say that it deserves its 4.5-star rating. The hotel is ideally located near Rizal Park and several national museums, including the National Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Anthropology, and National Museum of Natural History. Although the area around the hotel is not as developed or posh as Makati, there are plenty of small restaurants nearby, providing convenient dining options. The hotel staff is exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, making the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast, which offers a variety of around 6-10 Filipino dishes daily, along with one or two English options such as French fries, pancakes, or bacon, as well as bread and two types of fruits. The breakfast menu changes every day, so you won’t have to repeat the same meals throughout your stay. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The first is the frequent security checks. Every time you enter the hotel, your bags are checked as if you were going through an airport. While this ensures safety, it can become a bit inconvenient when you’re going in and out multiple times a day. The second is the hotel’s location. While it’s close to major attractions, the immediate area surrounding the hotel isn’t as upscale as some other parts of Manila. Despite this, the value for money is excellent. I paid around 3,250 pesos per day, which is reasonable for the amenities and service provided. Additionally, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to some malls and popular destinations, adding even more value to your stay. Overall, I highly recommend booking a room with the complimentary breakfast option. It’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for a comfortable and affordable hotel in Manila.
