Ramen Kuroda SM Manila — Restaurant in Manila

Waited in line for 30 minutes and we were sat after our order was taken. We waited patiently for another 30 minutes for our food thinking that our order was taking longer since we ordered two sets, which was fine on our end. Eventually, everyone was already served except for us.

We then followed up our order just to find out that it was never entered into the system and they weren’t even in the process of making our food. We were even asked if we transferred seats and what are orders were.

The manager attempted to appease us by saying that they’d now put our order first and prioritize it over the other orders— after they had already completed the orders of those that came much later than us.

Overall, the service is as absurd as it gets, from the things they asked, the assumptions they made, and to their system of taking orders.

A warning to all to avoid this branch since the high number of customers they welcome completely deteriorates the quality of service given...

This is my cheap go-to ramen place whenever I feel like eating one. I have dined in this branch for more than 7 times already, so it is no understatement to say that their service is slow, and waiting time is really really bad.

I would often pick up my bill ahead of time because after waiting for a long while to eat, you'd also have to endure their ultra slow payment process.

The last time my co-workers and I ate, I had to go up to the counter myself to give our payment after following up a couple time over the last 20 minutes. The cashier ignored me even as I stood there handing our payment to her face for a good whole minute.

The service crew who was nice and smiling when we arrived turned sour when she overheard us complaining about the wait time. In the end, she was brash and banging the plates and cups as she cleaned the table next to us.

Ramen Kuroda really hits the spot when you’re craving something warm, comforting, and budget-friendly. The ambiance is simple but cozy, perfect for casual catch-ups or solo ramen moments. The staff are consistently friendly and accommodating—parang suki ka na agad, even if it’s your first time.

We ordered one of their set meals, and sulit talaga—you get a hearty bowl of ramen, rice, and a side dish at a price that won’t hurt your wallet. The ramen itself? Rich, flavorful broth with firm noodles that hold up well. It’s the kind of meal that feels like a hug in a bowl.
