Heads-up: The playroom is not included with the ticket, but you will exit through the Lego store and then the playroom, your kids will want to play and you will pay an extra 20zl per person for 1 hour, 30zl for 2 hours, 40zl for the entire day.

This actual museum exhibit is more for adults. The kids blew through the entire 8 or so exhibits in about 5 minutes.

While these are massive and impressive Lego recreations of historical buildings and events, which clearly took a lot of time and effort but there is almost nothing to do but look at them and read/listen to the story. So, kids won’t be very interested… until the playroom at the end and they don’t tell you the playroom is an extra fee until you see the sign. It was a surprise to all of us and looks purposely misleading, and that’s why I’ve given only 1 star. Had they been upfront about the pricing I would have given maybe 4 star review and said this is more for adults while kids can go straight to the playroom. Also they can’t be bothered to have soap in any of the multiple dispensers in both of the bathrooms on a Sunday noon so it’s clear no one has checked on the bathrooms since a day or longer ago.

If you visit Karpacz, there is a Lego museum which I gave 5 stars. It is in a small 3 level building with interactive exhibits and is an excellent experience. By interactive I mean a button or joystick to control something in each exhibit which also had lighting and sound effects. The key here is that kids could control something. Here in Poznan, the exhibit with many boats had a steering wheel which did nothing. This was the only thing kids could do. Back to Karpach, the kids spent about an hour on the exhibits and another hour playing with legos. They would gave stayed longer if we didn’t need to feed them.

I am very disappointed in Historyland Poznan and would definitely prefer to get my money back if I could. For kids I suggest you bring them straight to the playroom for a couple hours while the adults sit outside and check your phone.

On Sunday around noon it was very empty. Just a couple people walking through and a couple kids in...

They present like 10 or more (my memory is bit hasy it being two days ago as I visited) dioramas with Legos, they try to represent the Polish history with them, the people working there know their history and are willing to listen if you know bit more than them, dioramas are of high quality, mainly the bases and trees are made of diy stuff and rest are made of Lego. As both history and Lego nerd I can recommend, dough the Lego part of my heart feels more fulfilled by the visit. BUT EVEN AS THERE ARE PARTS OF POLISH HISTORY LEFT OUT, KNOW THIS, THIS PLACE HAS A POTENTIAL TO HOST ON SECOND FLOOR AND HAS A LEGO SHOP AT THE END OF THE...

Świetnie zbudowana i prezentowana ekspozycja.

A very friendly museum in the railway building. Full of models depicting Polish history from the middle ages to the present day. Some really interesting interactive parts. There's not much interpretation for kids, but there are some interactive games and the models are easy to see from child height. If you don't speak Polish it's definitely worth getting the audioguide. There's also a cloakroom, shop and kids play area (with giant Lego!) Allow about an hour to visit.
