We very much enjoyed our walk though the castle courtyard, even if we didn’t know a whole lot about what we were seeing. It’s not clear to me that there is a whole lot to do here beyond looking at the architecture (from a tourist perspective.) I believe it is also a cultural center with a stage and a movie theater, but it wasn’t very clear where to go in or if there were galleries to walk through, or what. We gave up on going inside. But the courtyard and buildings are gorgeous, and there were plaques on the wall in Polish, English, and German, so it was easy to get information. (This was true for all of the historical sites around town!) The clock is lovely, and we happened to be there at 2:30, so we got to see the bells chime. I’d definitely recommend walking through here if you find yourself...

My family has lived in this area for over 60 years, and I’ve been visiting this castle for decades. It’s been such a joy to watch it evolve over the years, and the most recent renovation has been the most impressive by far. The updates have truly elevated the space, it now has a refined, almost regal feel and has become a go-to spot for wedding photos. The castle is a stunning piece of history, and the views from the steeple are absolutely breathtaking & its admission is quite reasonable. Plus, the location is ideal, surrounded by other historic landmarks and now home to a charming artisan street market in the summer that stretches all the way to the cathedral grounds. If you’re in the area, this spot...

Very pretty medieval palace to visit with lots of events. The tower gives a wonderful view of the city, but it is definitely a workout for the legs (and lungs!). The items on exhibit comprise only two rooms, which was a bit disappointing if you're looking to roam the entire palace. The courtyard was very pretty, and the entire structure lies in the heart of the old city with plenty to see, do, eat, and drink nearby. It's definitely worth a visit (at 15 zloty - roughly €3 - it's very affordable), although it's not really a great stop for kids or people with mobility issues,...
