Followed the sign for the beach and found this hidden gem! Itās an ocean front restaurant with amazing service makes you want to stay. The Hawaiian poke bowl is only fitting since the ocean is right there. For a WARM day in March a white wine is called for. Greeted by my server GUSTAVO š®š¹ and sat out side. GUSTAVO quickly came back to take my order and I was ready ! Poke bowl with tuna was fresh and filling with all those healthy calories. Letās talk LOCAL wine. The first white ( since itās warm out ) was the LACRAU MG MOSCATEL & way toooo dry ( acidic) for me though others are enjoying it. My sever suggested VIDA NOVA with kissable lips on the label- ( big lips like mine- winner !!) The taste great and itās a hit. Changing it up I wanted a second white, he suggested FLORĆO and I like it. Iām getting apples, crisp, lemon, minerals. And Iām not a wine expert but this mouth knows ! Enjoy the views, the different accents of guests and most importantly the OCEAN! Will definitely be back- soon !! ( off season in March is slower, calm, way less to no traffic ) the vibe: there is outdoor Ocean view seating and indoor seating with large plate glass windows to still see the views. After eating here, take a walk on the beach. Thanks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis restaurant just changed owner and that shows in some small hiccups. They never seem to answer the phone and the staff, who were all Italian when we visited, does not speak Portuguese very well. But nothing problematic really. The location is awesome, one of the Algarve's secluded beaches but easily accessible, great views. We had the tuna which was truly great, and the steak which was good. Prices are a tad high but the location justifies that. The menu is very limited, there are only six main courses. There was no bread, butter, cheese or olives to munch on while waiting for our dinner. Supposedly they have fresh catch but the waiter did not mention any of that. He also did not know how to open a bottle of wine and avoiding cork granules in the wine. Clearly unexperienced. The restaurant closes already at nine pm, which is very early to Portuguese standards. All together a nice experience but a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLocation and setting is lovely. They have high chairs for children which is great. Food was fresh and flavourful. The gentleman who delivered our food to the table was excellent and was quick when we asked for additional items such as bread, high chair, and utensils.
However, the other server who took our order was very slow to take the order and an additional server whom we asked for the bill (three times) was very slow as well. We ended up walking to the front of the restaurant to pay ourselves.
Toilets were very dirty and they had no baby changing station so we had to get creative when our baby needed to be changed.
Definitely will be back again (already booked in for next week), but something needs to be done about those toilet and baby changing...
