One of the most beautiful places in this part of the Algarve with a small but beautiful beach that fits perfectly into the coast. Surrounding high cliffs is an opportunity for cliffjumping, and that's what's pretty popular here. Right behind the beach you will find places to eat and drink. We spent a lot of the day here and absolutely a place worth recommending both during the day and in the evening. Each time of the day brings a different picture of this beautiful place.

Very nice village, busy with tourists but definitely worth a visit. From the village, take the white stairs up and then the rock walk via the wooden decking. Breathtaking and take the risk of going down through the gates. You imagine yourself on a filmset and that is why a lot of professional Photoshoots are made on this location.

Ya conocemos varias playas en Algarve. Hoy visitamos esta playa y nos pareció una de las mejores para ir con chicos chiquitos. Fuimos 3 adultos y una nena de 2 años. Las olas no golpean tan fuerte, el agua es transparente (muy fria, fuimos a fines de mayo). La zona de “cueva” bajo las rocas es lindísima. Hay muchas familias con chicos pequeños. Hay baños muy cerca. Hay lugares para comer o tomar algo muy cerca también. Es una playa chica, pero eso la hace interesante. No hay que bajar escaleras extensas como en otras playas de algarve. Hay reposeras para alquilar y para hacer actividades acuáticas. Salían permanentemente grupos en lanchas para hacer excursiones, que se puede reservar ahi mismo. Se pueden sacar unas fotos espectaculares con las rocas. El pueblito nos gustó mucho. Pudimos estacionar (a las 11 am) en un sector que era de parking gratis, pero tuvimos que bajar y subir una pendiente importante caminando.

One of the most beautiful little beaches and areas to walk along the cliffs. The boardwalks have a great view down into the cliff faces, while the little town has all the amenities needed. Not everything was open in mid-March, but it was a tranquil, calm spot to enjoy the beach. Very Amalfi Coast-like vibes.

Really like this town, visited pre Covid for the their carnival and it was a great day. It's got lots of bars and restaurants, It's not the best beach for a day out with the family as fairly small and the sand is really rough. Parking isn't an issue but you might need to walk down to the town.

Carvoeiro is a town and a former civil parish in the municipality of Lagoa, Algarve, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Lagoa e Carvoeiro. The population in 2011 was 2,721, in an area of 11.66 km². It is located about 5 kilometres south of Lagoa.
