Levels Carvoeiro — Restaurant in Lagoa

We stopped by this restaurant after visiting Carvoeiro beach. We visited the area a few times before deciding to eat down there - I'm so sorry we didn't try there sooner in our holiday. Promptly seated, and menus given. A really good choice of food available from small dish nibbles, to full on meals. We were eating out that evening so just a small nibble was our choice, we ordered the Angus mini burgers (x2) and the tempura battered prawns with house soy and ginger dipping sauce (omg this was soooo good) and a side of potato bravas, enough to say I wish we'd have utilised this restaurant more and found it sooner. But sadly not - but does give us scope to revisit on our next holiday. I also took a trip to the loo while there - the toilets are really clean, fully stocked and smelled clean too- that for me is an idea as to what their kitchens are run like, a clean toilet often meals a clean kitchen. The business is very well run, staff were very attentive, and really reasonable food prices. Food was hot - you could tell it was freshly cooked to order, yet the waiting wasn't too long (around 20mins) and that was with every table outside full! We celebrated my 50th birthday at LEVELS in August 2022 and couldn’t rate the service, food and location more highly.

Sharon the owner was involved in the organisation from the start and helped my wife with all arrangements which made it such a brilliant day.

We had the upstairs terrace for a lunch and drinks for about 20 guests and everyone was blown away by the food.

Daniel the chef, who is originally from Portimão but has experience working in top restaurants in London and elsewhere spoke with us before the day to plan a sensational menu of fresh, local produce, combining traditional Portuguese cuisine with a Scottish twist to make me feel at home! The team even produced the yummiest birthday cake with 2 of my favourite ingredients – pasteis de nata and Super Bock!

Mario and the rest of the team kept the drinks flowing and made everyone feel welcome with great attention to detail and excellent knowledge of each dish served.

We will definitely be returning this year!

The service was great, I cannot fault that. However, I was disappointed in the menu and found there isn't much choice that fits everyone. The nachos need serious improvement and so do the mini burgers. The nachos came as just plain tortilla chips in a bowl with a tiny bit of mashed avocado and 4 thin slices of radish on the side? Is this really nachos?

Would love to see an option for a normal burger one day and fries would be nice, I came in with my dad and we both have different tastes in food. I do like healthy fresh options, but my dad does not.

The service and interior of the place are really wonderful and the location is spot on but honestly, the menu was disappointing.. would love to see something more suitable for everyone. At present, I would only come back for a coffee or drink in the evening. If the menu changes I'm sure I would give...
