This must have been a very beautiful little fishing village in years gone by. We have thouroughly enjoyed the view from our beautiful apartment overlooking the beach. Unfortunately during our visit in August 2018 the sea appeared extremely sterile with a green algae infestation caused by eutrophication. Definately advise showering after a swim as the ratio of toilets to tourists is quite low. Quite a few nappies floating around in the sea near the beach which is somewhat off- putting! A village with immense potential but there is a limit as to how many tourists a place can accommodate without suffering damage. Read moreClean, quaint, (although I think some boats & lobster pots are strategically placed for the photos!) picturesque beach with yellow, coarse sand. It is blessed with public toilets. It is overlooked by many terraced restaurants offering a variety of menus and a slightly different viewing angle. Behind these are two streets of quaint little shops where you could likely find anything the kids needed during a day on the beach. They run 2 live weather webcams from a restaurant roof, so you can look at the beach live before you set off & work out how busy it is and;of course, the weather! You can also lust after it from your desk at work for the rest...
