Igreja Paroquial de Monchique — Attraction in Monchique

Não há muito para fazer na cidade de Monchique, porém esta Igreja deve estar no seu roteiro caso esteja nas redondezas. O portal de entrada é ricamente adornado, no que parece ser a única expressão do gótico tardio português em sua fachada. O interior já me parece bem mais parecido com o rococó brasileiro, ou mesmo o estilo manuelino que passara por diversas reformas. Entre e aprecie o magnífico teto de madeira e seus candelabros de cobre, congelados no tempo.

There isn’t much to do in the town of Monchique, but this church should definitely be on your itinerary if you’re in the area.
