Meh! Nothing to see from here, folks, despite people saying otherwise. Those claiming that it's fabulous need to get out of house more. In Sintra, travelers should be weary of any advice given by locals (including some reviews here), as the current climate is full of hatred toward tourists. Signage is vandalized to confuse tourists, information is scarce and plain wrong just to make you waste time and effort. I attach actual photos of the Monumento do Sta Eufemia, which is an unadorned cement cross; the panorama is not worth the trek, just a hazy jumble of houses from afar. Save your energy for something worthwhile, Sintra has many...

Nice viewpoint where you can see some of the Sintra palaces and the great landscape. One of the features of the area is the wide variety of trees from around the world. On your way up to this point you may see Eucalyptus from Australia. You may also pass a cork oak tree, whose bark was used to make wine corks. The cork is now used to make all kinds of things like...

Not a good spot to have a view from Pena Palace. The trees grew and blocked the view… for you to be able to check it a little bit, you need to climb the short stairs at the base of the cross. It’s not worth to get out of your way to go there, but it’s ok to spend 5 minutes if it’s on your way, just to have a view from the city from a...

For sure one of the best spots in Lisbon and the closer area to watch the SUNRISE. Beautiful location on the top of the mountain. Right next to a small church. Very quiet. In the middle of nature. And you have a full 270° view. There’s no cafés or anything up here. So make sure to bring some tea or coffee and snacks on your own :-)
