I loved this park as a kid. It's a good break from your run-of-the-mill playground, with fun swings, a spinning "Christmas tree" feature which kids can climb on, a small "trampoline" for toddlers, and a rope play structure. Up on the hill, there are two sets of slides - one for older children which goes down the entire hill, and another for toddlers/younger kids which is half that length. On the other side of the bridge from the slides are a couple of tall metal bird and dragonfly...

The playground quality overall is very good; shade is kinda sparse, but strong features. However, the hours are prohibitive compared to most parks.

It's pretty obvious that the hours are only due to the staff member at the entrance, who almost wouldn't be necessary if there weren't a locked gate and a giant fence around the whole place. All of this security for a children's playground would seem absurd, except for the location at Guadalupe park. The security is in place to keep out...
