Three stars is about the highest rating anyone should give this park! I give it three(3) only because it is a pretty good size park that has a nice, clean & large community swimming pool that can entertain a good amount of people! The pool is $3.00 for children & seniors. $4.00 for adults, not sure what hours of operation are though! The park was probably a real nice park at one time! Conveniently located for easy access from three sides for the neighborhood community & general public as well. Plenty of playground for the younger ones as well, with a designated fenced in playground for the smaller tykes that are too small for the bigger play area! Large BBQ & picnic area that will accommodate a good size party! However, too close to residential area so, loud music would be a problem! Also, there is no power supply so charge up before planning a day at this park! There is a large grass area that can be used for football, soccer or just lounging around on & work on your tan! I would be very careful wear I step, sit or lay down though! A lot of people walk their dogs through & around this park! And because of its location, there are some inconsiderate type that frequent the are that allow their dog(s) to use the large grass field for a toilet & fail to pick up their dogs mess! There is a male & female restroom facility. It's ok for us men, as long as you're using it for a quick in & out! But, for the females needing to use the facilities, you might want to learn how to hover over the toilet because them restroom facilities make you feel like you need a full body tyvec suit on! I have used the facilities only three times in 8 yrs. & always make sure I do not come into or touch anything in the restrooms! Overall the park is ok & is large enough to entertain people of all ages but, it's not the cleanest park by...
Read moreI absolutely love this swimming pool. First of all it's free and it's open from 2:30 to 4:30pm which is prime time for swimming here in San Jose because that's when it's really hot. The lifeguards are really attentive. Their shade and they have benches in case you don't bring your own chairs. It's not really loud like you would think and it's super family friendly 😀 oh and also I brought my own food and drink, it's allowed👍 I add it on a little video so you can hear the music they play.... 🎶 I find it cool that the train goes by every once in awhile... 🚝 The tracks are far enough where you don't have to worry...
Read moreRyland is one of our go to parks daily. My kids call it the "Train Park". They have made so many friends there in the last year. Everyone is so friendly and the kids get a kick out of watching the dogs catch balls! It's about a 30 minute walk from the house or a 5 minute drive so it's perfect. There's a lot of shade and picnic tables. There's some without equipment for adults, basketball courts, a swimming pool for swim lessons, a toddler playground and an older kids playground. Something...
