Appointments are pointless since you have to stand in line outside in the heat for 1 hour+ before being allowed to go inside.
The guy outside checking the appointments is extremely rude and should not be allowed to interact with any human being at all.
They'll take your phone before you go inside, and the lockers they use are not safe nor secure, mine was wide open when I got out of the embassy, and fortunately no one stole my phone.
When you're inside the x-ray operator will bark orders at you as if you were entering a prison not an embassy.
They have a small kiosk where you can print any documents you need, but for 15 riyals a page, conveniently they have a poster on the kiosk saying "dealing with this kiosk is optional". You can send them the pdf of any document you need to print on whatsapp, but you'll need your phone to do that which is outside in the locker, if you do go out to get your phone and send them the pdf, you will have to go back to the end of the line again :).
Once you're inside you can print a ticket with a number on it, too bad no one actually uses these numbers and the lines are random, the clerk gets to decide who goes first, not the ticket with the number on it. Overall an awful experience, and I recommend no one bothers applying for a visa or visiting until they fix this mess.
Oh and you gotta pay 18 riyals to park every time...
Read moreWant to share my disappointments, grievances and concerns upon Processing and waiting for my visa which took me almost 2 months. Let’s start from the waiting line outside, No English. Shocked and dismayed. Good thing someone helped me. Then smooth flows when you get inside. Problem occurred when visa officer told me minimum 30days for the the pre approval visa. Then I wait 30 days. After 30 days, needs appointment and can’t go inside. Needs to bring other Egyptian friend just to get inside. When I reach to visa station, my visa not arrived yet. They kept telling me to wait for the message from them and they can’t do anything. Every other week I went there. When I visited there last May 8, my approval visa arrived already since May 3 and no messages I received. I was totally mad deep inside because I Just wasted my 3000 riyals for my ticket for always changing the flight bc the visa not arrived yet. My last changed flight was May 12, and If only they messaged me on May 3, I can still catch up the flight. Lastly, they charged you 250sr for visa but the cost of the visa is only 235. I will never going back to this...

I visited the Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh at my pre-booked appointment to renew my work permit, bringing all required documents. The officer in charge, Ms. Nagwa, initially refused to accept my payment by card, insisting on cash, until another staff member intervened.
After processing my payment, she told me to return the next day for collection. When I came back, she refused to hand over my permit because I did not have the physical residence card, even though I offered to show it via the Absher app or verify it with security. Both options were refused.
She then called another female staff member (who introduced herself as the Consul) who spoke to me in a rude and aggressive manner, refused to hear my explanation, and ordered me to be escorted out of the Consulate — banning me from entry.
This was misconduct, unnecessary obstruction, and disrespectful treatment that caused both material and moral harm. As an Egyptian citizen, I expected professionalism, dignity, and efficiency — sadly, my experience was...
