I have been visiting Novi Sad for a number of years. This is the first time l managed to visit. Upstairs you have the war museum. But in the other half of the building is art. The show l managed to visit is art from the galleries coll. On Tuesdays as part of the exhibition there is a live demonstration of conservation work on paintings. I had only ever seen conservation on television, but how wonderful meet, talk and learn. They have a great selection of artwork. Fabulous spacious building. Definitely worth a visit. Its free entrance.

A wonderful museum. While it has some exhibitions relating to art, don't be misled by the name into thinking that it is all about art alone. There is also a great gallery about Yugoslavian and Vojovodina's history of the twentieth century. You will get a great understanding of what happened in Serbia during the first world war, the inter war period, the second world war and thereafter. Last but not the least, it has an amazing garden on the ground floor too. Andddd... It's free to visit! No entry fee!

This is one of the hidden gems of Novi Sad. It has a deep and rich exhibit about the hardships and suffering endured by Serbian during the World Wars. There is a historical section which contains artifacts from World War I and information about its history.
