A well maintained meusem with friendly and knowledgeable curator, entrance is free with the option to donate, there is a Snapscan QR code. The three display rooms can be completed in 30 minutes if your a fast reader. Rhodes life and achievements are well documented, his vision and drive cannot be questioned however there was a cost which is deliberately left out and I found the information presented to be unbalanced and bias, key decisions and milestones of his life that would today paint Rhodes in a very different light are excluded, for example his Native Bill which was architected to disenfranchise the African people. Non the less visit the meusem and have a cup of tea but be sure to do your own research and fill in the gaps when you get home.

Beautiful view of sea in front of you and mountain behind you. I enjoyed the tearoom in the garden. Had a pot of tea to share and 1 warmed butter scone per person accompanied with jam, cream and butter. Cost R89 for pensioners on a Thursday. Opening times in winter Thursday to Sunday, only for the tea garden. From September they will be open every day.... apparently, weather dependent. There is a walk behind the museum, pity the trail is not open yet. Would have liked to do that. And ofcourse, the museum..... I will do that another time.

If you're looking for a quaint restaurant with a beautiful sea view, you should try this place. I went to enjoy brunch with my friend and it was lovely catching up outside. The staff was friendly and polite. The menu is limited but the scones were delicious. They also have high tea on Sundays.
