Hudson It's my first time and probably will be the last. 1. We called and booked a table for 4. After a few hours we called stating we'd want to change the time, they said they didn't get our booking. We got to the venue on time and saw that the booking was actually made for 5 pm (this wasn't a biggie). We took our seats at 17:05, we ordered the drinks and got it 5-10min after. This was super quick, and I was excited. At 17:15 we ordered our food. I ordered "the Hudson with battered onion rings," friend 1 ordered another burger, and the two other friends took the rib and wings combo. 50 minutes after ordering, we're wondering where our food is becausepeoplewho arrived after us got their food and even left. we asked the waitress, and she said she'll go ask the kitchen. Another waitress came up and apologized, but the kitchen lost our receipt. They were working on our meal this was roughly 17:50. At this time, we were already getting tired and wanted to leave. Our food came at exactly 18:59. I checked my phone because I was so disappointed.
The food came. You could see that this was done in a haste. My beef tasted funny, and the cucumber looked old and not pleasant at all. My friend complained about his fried. The 2 friends who got the ribs were utterly disappointed. The ribs looked burnt, the wings were tasteless, and overall, this was a disappointing experience. We spoke to the waitress and she got us drinks on the house but it didn't erase the time we spent on food that wasn't worth it at all....
Read moreWhen deciding to celebrate my mom's 65th birthday, very intimate party of 4, early evening, we have encountered a few issues from the start. We understand that it was currently Load shedding at that time but there was no mention of what the establishment was unable to make when we were seated and given menus. We placed a drinks order first while selecting a meal. We eventually placed orders with the waitress and only then we were told the kitchen was unable to make pizzas and tacos. We relooked at the menu and placed x4 different burgers and a portion of loaded bacon fries. Only x3 burgers arrived with the fries (manager came over to apologise for the fries as they couldn't melt cheese). Ordered a plain fries while waiting for the 4th burger but that burger didn't arrive. I informed the waitress that we are still waiting on a 4th burger, she was abit confused and said that she maybe have forgotten to place that order(Really, there are 4 people at that table and only 3 is eating!!). That burger arrived when we all were done eating. Asked the waitress to place burger in a takeaway box as it was already late also to bring the bill. When the bill arrived the plain fries that we didn't get was on the bill. I asked the waitress to remove the fries and to reprint another bill. We paid the bill and left. Just one thing, that burger was my mom's, the birthday lady. We did not want to make a scene as I was just shocked and embarrassed and wanted to leave asap. A birthday dinner she will...
Read moreUnfortunately very bad experience this evening. We were not greeted at the door despite the sign that says wait to be seated and despite the fact that 3 employees saw us and continued on like we were not there. The service was bad. The steak was well done when a medium rare was ordered. The steak came before the nachos and we had to remind the server we had ordered nachos. The server was polite and clearly way over worked. There is not enough staff working for how busy the restaurant is. It's understandable why the order was a mess up. If just all of the above had been the only issue I would have let this go. However, my husband a type 1 diabetic ordered a light bear and was served a normal beer and got very sick after. This is extremely dangerous for a diabetic to be served a beverage with sugar. Last time we were there the same thing happened and we were not sure if maybe he was just under the weather. Now after this experience we realized it's because he had been served a normal beer instead of a light beer. Please notify your staff of the importance on taking note of orders especially if it has to do with sugar content. It could have been alot worse and my husband could have ended up in hospital.
