Lots of beach and sand. Does get crowded especially by boat launch when the sun is up and hot. Days without wind this place is magical. The area is safe with plenty of parking. Lots of little coffee shops and restaurants about. Sorry to see some restaurant chains ( debonairs and fish aways) ps. The fish is frozen and fish not anywhere from the west coast. So close to the beach I'm sure local restaurant on the same place would be able to offer a more of an authentic feel. Sadly with prime location comes prime price... Langebaan is great if you are there to enjoy it to the fullest. The luster of small coastal village is just about gone. Move further from langebaan and things start to look...

The date of our visit is 21/10. It's very windy here, so there are a lot of paragliders. No swimmers that I saw . No picnic blankets or umbrellas.... Too windy . Great beach for a walk. Not friendly for swimmers and very small kids. Could be seasonal, the high winds... Hence the date. There are accessible public toilets. Not super clean, but good enough in a pinch. There are several restaurants. Shops for beach and paragliding paraphernalia. It has a lovely little curated village-y feel. With some of the shops having the price to match but that's par for the course. The blue flecked water against the white sands is absolutely stunning and definitely...

We arrived in Langebaan in the afternoon with slightly overcast weather but that didn't dampen our spirits because we were spending a weekend in a beautiful cottage with 5 bedrooms. The cottage was situated on top of a hill overlooking the lagoon and the harbour of Langebaan. The balcony of the cottage was perfectly situated so as to see every part of the area as well as the bay. We experienced such a beautiful evening sunset which lit up the whole bay area. The area had a very peaceful, quite and serene atmosphere unlike the hustle and bustle of city life. We definitely want to return to this wonderful cottage...

This beach is a new favorite. The calm coastal laid back nature of the town in general provided for an even greater beach experience. This beach boasts alot of activity from boating, fishing, canoeing, wind or kite surfing , to long beach walks and shallow beach swimming. Dogs are also allowed on the beach. There are signs and reminders for everyone to treat each other with respect. I particularly enjoyed walking at night and felt fairly safe doing so. The water was also quite warm, getting colder towards Mykonos. Toilets were at the end of the beach away from Mykonos. Very serene.
