Langebaan Stay Guest House — Hotel in Saldanha Bay Local Municipality

De kamers van dit kleinschalige guesthouse zijn comfortabel en brandschoon. ’s Avonds tot laat buiten zitten, prachtig uitzicht, heerlijk zwemwater, de zee op loopafstand. Net als de supermarkt, andere winkels en de restaurants. Reuze praktisch, natuurlijk, maar het belangrijkste is de gastvrijheid die wij ervaren hebben, de persoonlijke aandacht van Bertus en Ivette|Aan het eind van onze rondreis door Zuid Afrika hebben wij in de tweede helft van maart 2025 zo’n twee weken in Langebaan Stay Guest House verbleven. We wilden een beetje tot rust komen van al onze avonturen en dat is goed gelukt. Om te beginnen dankzij gastheer Bertus die op verzoek ontbijt maakt, voor een rustige start van de dag. Maar als je wilt maakt hij ook avondeten. Omdat wij van variatie houden zijn we regelmatig op andere plekken wezen eten, maar toch nergens zo goed als bij Bertus, die een uitstekende chef bleek te zijn.|Het dakterras, en de aangrenzende restaurant-ruimte, zijn altijd toegankelijk. Daar hebben we diverse avonden levendige gesprekken gevoerd met andere gasten en met de gastheer, terwijl hij ons bediende en voor de (veelal Nederlandstalige) muziek verzorgde.|Bij vragen of problemen reageerde Bertus zeer oplossings- en klantgericht. Toen bleek dat de autoverhuurder zich op een fikse (loop)afstand bevond heeft hij ons (3x !) gebracht en gehaald. Maar ook zonder rechtstreekse vragen blijkt Bertus attent. Wij wilden van hem weten wat ‘Appelliefies’ waren. Het bleken vruchtjes te zijn. ’s Avonds waren ze een ingrediënt van het dessert.|Concluderend: alle verwachtingen overtroffen, waardering 10+|||The rooms of this small-scale guesthouse are comfortable and spotlessly clean. Sitting outside until late in the evening, beautiful view, lovely swimming water, the sea within walking distance. Just like the supermarket, other shops and restaurants. Very practical, of course, but the most important thing is the hospitality we experienced, the personal attention of Bertus and Ivette|At the end of our tour of South Africa, we stayed at Langebaan Stay Guest House for about two weeks in the second half of March 2025. We wanted to relax a bit from all our adventures and we succeeded. To begin with, thanks to host Bertus who makes breakfast on request, for a peaceful start to the day. But if you want, he also makes dinner. Because we like variety, we regularly went to eat in other places, but nowhere as good as at Bertus, who turned out to be an excellent chef.|The roof terrace, and the adjacent restaurant area, are always accessible. There we had lively conversations with other guests and with the host for several evenings, while he served us and provided the (mostly Dutch-language) music.|Bertus responded to questions or problems in a very solution-oriented and customer-oriented way. When it turned out that the car rental company was at a considerable (walking) distance, he brought us and picked us up again (3x !). But even without direct questions, Bertus appears to be attentive. We wanted to know from him what 'Appelliefies' were. They turned out to be fruits. Bertus and his family are friendly, hospitable, easygoing and fun! This guest house was a wonderful experience for us. The room had everything we needed for a 1-2 night stay - a comfortable, large bed, large hot shower with good pressure, a small area for coffee and a fridge. Also, the guest house is a few steps from the beach, and there is a lovely entertainment area upstairs, to braai and chill, and here at breakfast, Bertus went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and sociable.
