Unfortunately, today we probably had the worst possible experience that one can get in the hospitality sector.

We have arrived to RocXi around 20:35 to have dinner. The order for drinks were taken, but then we had to fetch some menus ourselves and see from there. We could only find someone to place the order around 20:55, and we were told it might take 30 minutes because we ordered sushi. Because of this, we ordered some starters.

Fast forward, 30 minutes later we were told they are out of avocados, so they mentioned they want to use cucumbers instead for the sushi (huh?). We went along with it. Another 15 minutes later, they told us they are out of Tuna and asked if they can replace it with any other product like Salmon, or Prawns. We had to cancel half of our order.

Another 20 minutes later (22:05, 1:30h after our arrival), we still didn’t have anything, not even the fries we ordered.

Because of all this, they said they want to give us a free round of drinks. At this point, after eating some snacks we had at the car (as we were starving this was the only way we could actually eat something during the wait, see the photos yourselves), we decided to leave, and asked to pay the 3 drinks we had, and yet they even charged us for that.

All and all, I can’t understand how this is possible with 30% capacity (the place was not even close to being crowded), this was the case. I do think the experience can be improved by...

Yesterday my mom and I had lunch at our regular spot in town. We were greeted with the warmest smiles and exceptional service from Chris, Chané, Vusi the sushi chef, and Yonda. The staff at Rocxi Beach are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.

The staff at Rocxi Beach are also the main reason why I go (so often) to the restaurant, on arrival you get met with such a warm welcome and the biggest smiles.

The restaurants beachfront location offers outstanding views of Langebaan's main beach, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind whilst sipping on a delicious cocktail while you can watch the kitesurfers.

The food was outstanding - as always. My mom and I both had pokébowls that Vusi had prepared for us. Unfortunately I did not take any photos of the food as my mom and I were both so hungry. 10/10 to Vusi for making the best pokébowl! My mom asked to have kale instead of rice as she is dieting. Vusi happily replaced the rice for my mom and made her the most devine, exceptional, fresh and beautifully presented pokébowl. The staff do go out of their way for their customers.

Rocxi Beach is a must visit for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. With its stunning views, delicious cuisine, and exceptional service, it's the perfect spot for special occasions or a night out with friends! It's a viiiiibe 🍻🍹🥂🍕🌮🍣🦪
