It's a small and enjoyable beach ideally out of the wind and lots of little places for young kids to explore. Plenty of shells on the beach to keep young collectors busy for hours. It is not recommended that you go into the water. There are toilets on site but they get locked in the evening. One should also exercise caution when walking among the rosks as serious injury could result from a careless slip. Great place to watch the sun go down and there's plenty of parking close by. Dog walkers are not allowed on this beach.

This should be called seashell Beach. You must have shoes on because there are so many seashells and rocks you will surely cut your feet. Great to watch sunset by the rocks though.

Came here regrettably during the winter ( chilly) . Not like the vibrant summer beach videos I watched. But I must say, I love Capetown. Guess I'll be back in the summer.

Wonderful beach, stunning views. However not my cup of tea: the water is freezing even during the summer and it can be uncomfortably windy. My mistake was to go without checking the wind forecast. As a person of color I had a really hard time to just pick any restaurant around to eat because the staff is racist. Nothing to do with ability to pay or dress code. They say is their country apartheid heritage. Luckily and after some due diligence me and my family were able to pin point the restaurants and venues we wouldn't be denied entry with lame excuses. I got used to shop before my beach days while in Cape Town so I had my...

Great when the tide comes in. (A pity the municipality got rid of several tons of shells some years back, which corroded the beach). There's a tidal pool in the right corner, which the tide cleans out and can feel like a chacuzzi and is a delight... And there is a small part of the beach where one can wade in for a dip, and some wave dunks. Also lovely to sunbath here, or have a private early morning beach to yourself. All sparkly...
