Visited the new revamp spot last night. Now known as ‘Only Fools’. It was a decent experience. The restaurant is very small but I really like that. The menu is the same with only 3 burger options and a few sides available. The food was tasty but I felt overpriced. The burgers aren’t big and sides are not included with a burger. Although a small spot, only having 1 chef and 1 other staff member who was doing front of house, waitressing and bartending meant that there was a long wait in between things.
Nice experience but wouldn’t go back for now. Definitely better value for money spots available. Would be curious to see how it develops as it grows though!
[Edit 8 months later] Revisited this spot twice in the last few weeks and it's been incredible both times! Very cool to see the restaurant grow and improve since the first time I visited and been so impressed with everything since then. The burgers are incredible and the idea of having just a simple good tasting burger has grown on me.
The staff have been much better since the first visit and are working super hard to keep everything running smoothly. Our food & drinks were quick despite a busy evening and our table was cleared and cleaned without asking after we had finished our food.
This is my go-to burger spot in Cape Town for anyone asking! Well done guys, fantastic local establishment! Great to see it grow. Thanks for changing my...
Read moreMy recent visit to this Sea Point gem was an absolute delight, and it was made even better by the exceptional service provided by the friendly bartenders, Gemma and Kate.
The evening was off to a fantastic start as we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Gemma and Kate's professionalism and friendliness set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
One of the standout features of this place was the outstanding burgers. They were cooked to perfection, bursting with flavour, and simply exceptional. Paired with the wide selection of creative cocktails available, it was a culinary journey that left a lasting impression. The bartenders' recommendations were spot on, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience👌.
What also made this place even more special was its dog-friendly policy. It's not often you find such a welcoming spot where you can enjoy great food and drinks while your furry friend is by your side. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual night out.
In summary, my visit to this hidden gem in Sea Point was a true discovery. Gemma and Kate's exceptional service, delectable burgers, and the array of fun cocktails are all reasons why I will be returning. If you're in search of a delightful dining experience in a welcoming environment, look no further. This place is a...
Read moreI love burgers and have eaten them all around the world but I would say Craft Burgers are as good if not better than all of them Ive had.
I stumbled across the burger bar walking around Sea Point on my recent visit. Popped in for an early dinner and found the pick your own menu to be very easy and the advice from the staff sensational. Such a warm inviting place.
The burger was perfectly cooked, the ingredients so fresh it just tasted like I was in some Sydney Gourmet burger place. BUT the big advantage these guys have is there hand-cut chips. OMG takes me back to the good old days of the hand cut fish n chips chips, deliciously fresh and compliments the burger so well.
Cant wait to return to Cape Town and see these boys again, go get a burger if you're...
