I have been coming to Strolla for years, one of my favorite spots in Cape Town... I'm back from Europe now, staying at the Peninsula Hotel, and enjoying my minimal time off from work and immense stress by enjoying drinks and food and especially music at Strolla, the service is unmatched, friendly and open, conversation is phenomenal, and my favorite thing as a music snob is when I request a certain type of music, within the time frame that it's suitable (night time) the staff is always willing to accommodate.... i will take special note of Daniel Fisher, big legend, great energy, someone i will call a friend rather than a service representative of the establishment, always there to talk, to listen, to vibe, to play the toonz that put a very stressed mind at ease.... strolla is Great, Daniel is the GREATEST.... no lies ... find the man on his shift, with all the crew there who gwt the very dame.compliments, they will never let you down... 100/10... Daniel and I...
Read moreThe waiters are quite cheeky and racist pathetic. We had to wait over 20 minutes to be given menus. Had to stand up to order. Canceled my order because of an uninformed waiter who didn't even care about what serving me and my partner. Dissapointed. Just 1 min walk from my apartment I thought I should try it out but no ways sorry..... We were sitted on a table that was dirty by a xhosa speaking girl who wore all black head to tie.Was not interested in helping.... The girl just spoke out loud that she's rushing to leave she's cashing up to go home.
The second xhosa girl was just not interested in helping me and menu knowledge was at zero . Very dissapointed.
There's many fab restaurants on Beach Rd..... Try out Kove Collection restaurants!!! The Nines, Lily's..... You'll know what service...

Unfortunately there is a major misunderstanding here because when you call them telephonically to make a reservation they say first come first serve
The Peninsula Hotel manager ruined our experience while we were waiting for our food & drinks bill, he approached us very unfriendly & proceeded to scold us like children saying the pool is only for hotel guests UNLESS YOU ORDER FOOD.
WHICH WE COMMUNICATED WE DID & were just waiting for the bill (Like I said, service is slow)
Unfortunately won't be recommending this place to any more of my international friends
Very poor...
