Absolutely fantastic museum, definitely among the most interesting things on Jeju, a result of 50+ years seashells collecting by a devoted family of artists who also work metal expertly and are integrating their creations in the shells displays for an outwardly effect! The collection must dwarf almost any natural history museum collection, by sheer amount of individual shells as well as hundreds of thousands of work hours visibly invested into collecting, bringing, sorting, classifying, and arranging the shells. I wasn't able to take pictures because photography wasn't allowed, but many works made from shells and conchs collected this way are also on display. Also an artsy place (you will find traces of art and paintings around the museum and coffee space)
We visited on 7 Nov, Thursday at 11am and spent about an hour here. Had a good conversation with the museum owners and ended the visit with coffee and some nice jewellery.
