Absolutely fantastic museum, definitely among the most interesting things on Jeju, a result of 50+ years seashells collecting by a devoted family of artists who also work metal expertly and are integrating their creations in the shells displays for an outwardly effect! The collection must dwarf almost any natural history museum collection, by sheer amount of individual shells as well as hundreds of thousands of work hours visibly invested into collecting, bringing, sorting, classifying, and arranging the shells. I was mostly impressed by the amount of scientific information available for all the shells, their habitats, and their classification. Thank you very much for the hard work, let this museum grow...

A large number of seashells, conchs, and corals collected over several decades were on display. It was fun to see mysterious and beautiful corals and shells that are not easily seen. I wasn't able to take pictures because photography wasn't allowed, but many works made from shells and conchs collected this way are also on display. If you apply in advance, you can try making picture frames using shells and...

Well organized museum that makes you want to join their hobby and passion of seashells.

Showcases a wide range of seashell collections from around the world with a gift shop full of pearl jewellery and related ornaments.

Also an artsy place (you will find traces of art and paintings around the museum and coffee space)

We visited on 7 Nov, Thursday at 11am and spent about an hour here. Had a good conversation with the museum owners and ended the visit with coffee and some nice jewellery.

Recommend to drop by and visit 😊

(Bonus: good clear view of Hallasan if...
