Hotel The Grang Seogwipo — Hotel in Seogwipo-si

I wouldn’t call it the best hotel in Jeju but price performance for this hotel is excellent. We booked a standard twin room bec we only wanted to stay at Seogwipo for 2 days.

LOCATION Excellent location. Short walking distance to ✔️Olle Market ✔️ Shops around Olle market: yes, late night shopping is possible till 9pm ✔️Arang Joeul Food street: you are spoilt for choice on what to eat ✔️Airport limousine bus 600: To airport-4mins walk. From airport-6mins walk. Stop: Saetigijeong Park. You can also take this bus to I CC (& visit Daepo Jusangjeolli).

HOTEL BUILDING/CHECK-IN The external design is a simple modern design. The lobby has the grandeur of open space with lots of beautiful timber table. Danny and Becky Park @ the reception are friendly and service oriented patiently answering our questions on directions/recommendations.

BEDROOM We got standard twin room 613. It is not the biggest room and cannot have 2 medium sized suitcase opened same time. The decor is modern. Everything feels modern cozy. Love the racks provided instead of cupboards. Very functional. The wash basin is outside the bathroom … and works better when you are sharing room with a friend. ✔️Flooring: ondol laminated flooring … ✔️View: There is no views, just facing a wall 😭We are fine bec it’s just 2 nights. ✔️Bed: Comfortable but may be a tad hard for some. ✔️Sheets: clean white Cotton sheets ✔️Pillows: 2 per pax. Soft & fluffy. ✔️Television : Flat screen. Wide selection of Korean channels and virtually no international channels ✔️Lighting: The recess lights are excellent as night lights. Room has sufficient lighting. ✔️Phone: By the beside but not the bathroom. ✔️Plugs: korean plugs but no usb points. Adequate for our use as we brought USB extensions. ✔️Safe Deposit box: No ✔️Fridge: Unstocked mini fridge. ✔️Wardrobe: it’s racks. Adequate wooden hangers for 2 days. ✔️Electric Jug: Yes. ✔️Beverage: No ✔️Housekeeping: Clean. ✔️Bathrobes: Yes ✌️ ✔️Slippers: Yes. Non-disposable ✔️Stationery: No ✔️Complimentary mineral water: Yes, 2 bottles ✔️Iron & Ironing Board: No ✔️Shoe Horn: Yes! ✔️Soundproofing: Acceptable. Our room was right next to the lift.

BATHROOM ✔️Decor: Simple. No shower compartment. ✔️Phone: None ✔️Shower: Decent water pressure. Hot water is consistent. Option of rain shower ✔️Bathtub: None. ✔️Clothes drying line: No. ✔️Hairdryer : Excellent. V powerful. ✔️Toiletries: None. Only body wash, body lotion, shampoo. (Note: no facial cotton). ✔️Towels : 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels. White and fluffy. ✔️Wash-basin & Taps : well-maintained. ✔️WC: Flushes well. My biggest beef? the shower area and WC is not divided …

WIFi Complimentary. Very stable and reliable.

BREAKFAST The hotel has temporarily halted breakfast.

LAUNDROMAT You can do your laundry at B1 for KRW10,000. This is a very useful feature when you are on a long travel itinerary and wants to pack light.

OTHERS There seems to be meeting rooms here. We didn’t check it out.

Located in a quieter area, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it provided the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility.|-Warm and Welcoming Service|Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the lovely Mr. Lee, who made us feel instantly at home.
