Chungmu Art Center — Attraction in Seoul

It’s not bad if you don’t compare the performances like those broadway shows in the USA.

There are 3 things I particularly dislike:

1. Not all sounds are produced live on stage. There are some pre-recorded background music.
2. Unnatural scripts like some “scene stages” move towards the performers. Most of the acting don’t have eye contact with audiences, so is like watching movie/drama rather than musical theatre.
3. Solid singing skills but occasionally over-doing it. Again, this is a musical theatre not a concert.

Price is not cheap, but I appreciate Koreans emphasize on art and...

Last year, I watched Kinky Boots here, and it was great. This time, I came to Seoul from Shanghai for a weekend just to watch Monte Cristo. I left the theater speechless. Seo In Guk was excellent in his role, and the musical was amazingly done. Chungmu Art Center is smaller than Sejong Center, but it's very cozy and easily reachable. It's close to Dongdaemun Plaza, and there are many restaurants and cafes...

Come here for a presentation, what a nice hall. Everything is inside here. There are cafe but if you are muslim I suggest to check first the status of the cafe.
