동대문운동장을 철거한 자리에서 한양도성과 조선시대 건물터가 발견되었어요. 전시 구성은 이때 발굴된 유물들 위주였어요. 동대문을 다루는 역사관은 아니었습니다. 자료는 15분이면 둘러볼 수 있었습니다. 전시관에는 군수품 유물들이 많았어요. 오늘날 DDP 자리가 과거에는 하도감이라는 조선 군사시설이었기 때문이에요. 조선 후기 수도방어사령부라고 할 수 있는 훈련도감의 가장 큰 분영이었다고 합니다. 다음으로 눈에 띄는 건 한양도성 핵심 유구였던 이간수문 자료들이었어요. 없어졌을 거라던 이간수문이 당시 쓰던 목책과 함께 발견되었다는 내용이었습니다. 문양이 독특한 조선시대 보도블럭도 볼만 했어요~
