The food was delicious! I came in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend the potato, skewers, and chicken dish. My favourite was the potato! It was addicting. For drinks, I have dragon, rat, snake, and monkey pictured from left to right. (Prices ranged from 15-20k won)
Dragon is unique and definitely one to try as you’ll probably never have something like it again! It has a light floral taste due to the tea base and compliments the alcohol very nicely.
Rat is matcha based and served in a two-piece toad cup. It is very milky/creamy and tastes just like chocolate milk!! Great for those who aren’t a fan of alcohol. Very delicious. I could chug this.
Snake had a very strong (maybe almost overpowering) alcohol taste which I found to overshadow the other ingredients in this cocktail. Worth a try if you enjoy that bold alcohol taste.
Monkey was probably the most basic cocktail on the menu. Nothing special. Could probably get this or something similar at any cocktail bar. It is sweet and fruity, but also artificial… wouldn’t get this again!
Lastly, yes, you do need a Korean phone number in order to reserve and add your party into the queue. Once you get past that hurdle, the food/drink menu can be difficult to navigate without Korean language skills. So I hope my review helped make...
Read moreThis speakeasy bar was absolutely amazing and the vibes were great! Watch you head going in because the entrance to enter is a small hidden door. Once you’re in you can see the glow in the dark lights and nice bar with tables opposite to it. Each person needs to order one drink. Lots of delicious food and drinks available. The drink menu is so cute. Each zodiac represents a drink and has descriptions of the drinks as strength of alcohol, volume, sweetness, bitterness and such.
My party ordered the potato pancake, skewers, pasta, and chicken bites. For drinks we ordered the rat, snake, dragon and monkey.
The dishes we ordered were all delicious and amazing especially the potato pancake which was very unexpected!
The dragon drink was my favourite and now my all-time favourite drink! It has a nice sweetness and herbal taste to it because it has a herbal tea base. I can’t even taste the alcohol in it. Absolute favourite!!
I highly recommend coming here it’s an amazing bar to come with friends. I Will definitely come here again!
FYI this is a small speakeasy so need to reserve on their kiosk inside and need to have a Korean number in order for them to contact you. Be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes or more...
Read moreAtmosphere: 7.5/10 Located in Sindang-dong, Seoul, Zoo Sindang looks more like a technicolor jungle than a cocktail bar — packed with fake plants, Chinese zodiac characters, and tree installations stretching from floor to ceiling. The backbar is barely visible and clearly not a focus here. Music leans house/lounge at a pleasant, conversation-friendly volume. The space is maximalist but intentional.
Drinks: 7/10 Recommended drink: – Menu is creative and themed — each zodiac has its own cocktail, with strength, ingredients, and tasting notes clearly laid out. Presentation is generally strong, with good-quality glassware and fitting coasters. Garnishes vary — some drinks are dressed up, others left plain — so it averages out. It’s more about the show than refinement.
Service: 6/10 Water wasn’t served. Team is professional, but too much going on to call it attentive. Worst part? The brutal waitlist system: you sign up via app, get zero wait time estimate, and then have only three minutes to get in when they call you. Miss it and you’re out. This forces people to just linger in front. Prices are above average and don’t come with a...
