Rude and Unreasonable Place
This is the first fast food restaurant in the world that had chased us out of their restaurant because we brought too many people to their restaurant. They chased us out not 1 time but 3 times on 3 consecutive days. At the rate that they chased us out, their staffs actually recognised us and marked us. Why did they still accepted our orders and collected our money when they have decided this group of tourists are banned from using their restaurant? On the 3rd incident, they chased us out even before some of us get to collect our orders. Their staff said that we cannot use their place because we are disturbing their customers. Do they realised that we are their customers too? We paid for our drinks and food. why are we not allowed to use their restaurant after we bought food? what have we done? If there were 100 pax in their restaurant at that point, we are almost 50% of that 100 pax, why are we not consider as a customer?
We have travelled to many parts of the world together and visited many fast food restaurants together as a big group. No fast food restaurants have chase us out. McDonald's didn't, Starbucks didn't, Coffee Bean didn't, Shake Shack London didn't, Shake Shack Las Vegas didn't, and many many other didn't chase us out because we are too big a group. where on earth can you find a quiet fast food restaurant? if you want your fast food restaurant to be quiet and no noise, please indicate clearly that this is a fine-dining fast food restaurant that don't allow people to talk, you can only whisper.
I strongly recommend you to think 3 times before you visit Shake Shack Doota Mall unless you love to be chased out and...
Read moreNo doubt about it...always the basic Shack Burger for me with Single smashed patty. Good meat-to-bun ratio, got your veggies plus the sauce makes Shake Shack one of my favorite US Burger chains other than In-N-Out and Five Guys. Great to pair with their fries and ketchup.
It's fascinating that Danny Meyer started with a humble hotdog stand in Madison Square Garden in 2003 which evolved to a legit Burger spot in 2008 and now Shake Shack has over 370 locations worldwide.
Whenever I visit any SS outlet outside of my home country, I always try their special that is unique to the place. In South Korea, SS offers the Makgeolli Shake and the Dongdaemun Rainbow Concrete. The Makgeolli Shake is made with Makgeolli, a Korean alcoholic beverage. The characteristics of said drink is that it is milky, creamy and sweet that you wouldn't realize you're drunk already. Its incorporation into shake form is natural and delicious. I couldn't say the same for the Dongdaemun Concrete which was a bit too sweet for my taste. It was made up of vanilla ice cream, donut chunks, candy sprinkles and...
Read moreWent to this location today. It was the first time for me to ever try Shake Shack and see what the fuss was all about. Let me just say they are way overpriced for a hamburger. I'm comparing this to Cry Cheeseburger which is a knock off of In-N-Out Burger. And in my opinion they are way better and way less expensive. I must add that the Shake Shack and Cry Cheeseburger are the same size.
I ordered a single cheeseburger w/bacon, cheese fries (something about the cheese they use (for additional fee) didn't look all that great, it was like a thin melted layer that ran all the way through and clumped up on the bottom, which by the time you'd finished the fries. and reg soda. The bill came out to ₩16,000! A similar order at Cry Cheeseburger is less than ₩8,000 and they offer free refills on soda. I say this cuzz in Korea not many places offer free refills of fountain drinks.
In closing, this was an experience I wanted to try and will not go back unless they lower their menu prices. I'm not a wannabe yuppie so I don't eat...
