강남 삼성역에서 가까운 포스코본사 건물의 지하1층에 위치한 미술관입니다. 1995년에 개관하였고, 거창한 대형전시는 아니지만 상당히 내실있는 전시를 많이 개최하여, 가끔 방문하는 곳입니다. 포스코건물 외부에도 멋진 작품들이 많은데 특히 프랜크 스텔라의 Flowering Structure:Amabel은 9미터 크기의 대형전시물로 처음 설치때부터 큰 주목으루받은 작품이었고, 로비 1층의 백남준 대형작품과 이우환의 조각 작품이 눈길을 끌고 있습니다. 지하1층의 미술관은 얼마전(2월27일)에 전시가 끝난 포스코아트컬렉션을 보러 갔었는데, 세계적 화가뿐만 아니라, 포스코의 모습을 다양한 방식으로 표현한 작품들이 있어 상당히 재미있게 보았습니다. 특히 문봉선의 영일대에서 본 포스코, 김억의 포스코 판화작품은 아주 좋았습니다. 물론 로이 리히텐슈타인, 박서보 등의 작품도 좋았고 포스코 컬렉션의 다양한 작품들을 접할수 있어 의미있는 전시였던거 같습니다.
