It is 4:42 AM and I cannot sleep because of multiple problems with my room and the hotel service. The air conditioner keeps shutting off every few minutes, making the room unbearably hot (about 30°C) and suffocating. The room is much smaller than advertised — listed as 18 square meters but feels like 15 — and there is no space to open my suitcase properly. There is no place to put my suitcase except on the floor in the walkway, where it blocks the way. I cannot open it fully because it is divided by a partition, and I cannot take clothes out properly. The suitcase blocks the narrow walkway, making it dangerous to move around, which caused me to trip and injure my foot multiple times. I explained to the receptionist that I cannot sleep with the suitcase in bed, but they did not help.
Noise insulation is terrible — loud door slams from other rooms make me feel like someone is entering my room. The bathroom is dirty with stains and peeling surfaces, far below what is expected in a 4-star hotel. The sauna is advertised as available to all guests, with robes provided in the room, but in fine print it says it is “men only.” Women are not allowed to use it. This blatant gender discrimination made me feel unwelcome and humiliated, especially since I paid specifically for these amenities.
The staff were dismissive and condescending, refusing to provide the manager despite my repeated requests. They did not try even once to solve the problems, which is the basic expectation in any hotel. Around midnight, only after long pleading did they agree to send a message to the manager — but refused to give me immediate assistance.
I injured my foot after tripping several times over the suitcase in the cramped room. I’m now lying in bed, bruised and in pain, unable to sleep. Instead of celebrating my birthday, I am stuck here feeling hurt, ignored, and deeply let down. I feel hurt and mistreated not only because of my injuries but also because I am a woman. This discrimination and neglect because of my gender make the situation even...
Read moreExtremely poor management with poor care and understanding for client. I booked/paid in full for 3 nights but due to urgent family emergency I changed flight tickets and went to hotel before Checkin time to cancel reservation and make a refund. As a Good will gesture I informed them to charge me one night while refund remaining two nights. They started finding all sorts of reasons, first telling me that it is booking.com policy to not refund any amount, after speaking with Booking.com team, an email was sent to them to consider refund which they immediately declined and also told the same to costumer support call from booking.com. Upon asking for the hotel refund policy, they didn't have any document!!! After long hours of arguing they told me to send us medical report of the family member, upon sharing they said that our reservation team will check your email only on Monday, which was clear that they just wanted to get rid of me as I will not be in country anymore. In response to email they started to give deadlines, pointing out details that report is from last month, we need specifically for 21-22 March, proof of my relationship with family member, other translations etc. Also telling me that reservation can be only cancelled 3 days before checkin not seeing the fact that I booked a day ago only! No refund policy shown, no respect to client and no respect to the request from Booking.com on email...
Read moreLocation: 10/10 Just off the main road right infront of Coex Mall and Coex City Airport Terminal (amazing for airport transfers). 5-10 min walk to Samseong station. 3-5 min walk to 7-eleven and GS25.
Rooms: 8/10 Clean, cozy rooms. Loved the bathroom, had a massive mirror and big sink with standing shower (water pressure was good), toilet was also heated. All amenities provided. Perfect for solo travellers, however if more than 1 you may struggle with space to open your luggage if you have 20kg+. Bed and pillows were really comfy. Massive wardrobe mirror door. Aircon was great.
Service: 8/10 Didn't really need help from reception so can't say much but housekeeping women were super nice, came in everyday to change sheets and supply water in fridge/new dressing gowns/slippers. There is a money exchange machine in the lobby which was helpful. They allow food delivery where they'll keep it in the lobby for you to come grab it.
Overall, an all rounder hotel, definitely recommend and...
