Last week we we're in an archeological site, named Barrio Andalusí. It is located next to Alcazaba and in front of the sea. Also, it has an overlook from where you can spot the port and enjoy the landscape with your familiy. It's one of the most important landmarks in the Andalusian region. You can visit the Andalusi neighbourhood from 9:00 a.m - 21:00 p.m and appreciatte the masterpieces of the Al-mohads from the XI and XIII centuries. Also, you can go to some of the restaurants in the surroundings of the Barrio Andalusí if you're hungry. In conlusion, you need to go there if you want to feel the Andalusian vibes. Also, you can visit all those places which we're mentioned previously; we encourage you to go. You won't regret It!

A hidden gem just below the Alcazaba. Free entry and definitely worth a visit. The site features well-preserved Andalusí dwellings and a small, modern museum with interactive exhibits and artifacts from the time when Almería was known as Al-Mariyya. Air-conditioned, fully accessible, and a great way to explore the city’s Islamic-era history.

Last week, I went with my classmates to visit an archeological site here in Almería. We went by bus, because it was pretty far. Nevertheless, we had to continue walking since it was in the mountain and the bus couldn't get there. When we arrived at the archaeological site, we met a man who had a big knowledge about Almería’s history. He explained to us how people’s daily life in the ancient areas was.

The first thing we did when we entered was that they gave us a small presentation and then the guide began to show us what the houses were like and how they could be saved and not destroyed. He also showed us where things like the water and then we saw old vases, valuable coins and gambling chips.

In my opinion, this place is very nice and it explains the history of all of Almería. I would 100% recommend this place and it would be good for people who come to Almería to stop by here to learn more about the history.

Also, if you go alone there are tablets where you can interact to learn about the things that are there.

This place has been opened for everyone to visit...

Last friday 14th of February we visited the Barrio Andalusí of Almería. It was a school trip. The Barrio Andalusí is an archeological discovery which involved an ancient neighbourhood placed very close to the Alcazaba. From my point of view, it was a very interesting trip that I really enjoyed. Our guide was quite professional and funny making this experience pretty entertaining at the same time as well as educative. We were also quite surprised by now they cooked,. as a moroccan . I can tell that howadays in Morocco that method is still used to cook kebabs. It was something I loved learning about, among many other things. From my point of view, another interesting thing we saw it´s an app where we can see how it was the structure or the neighbourhood. I think it´s a good thing because we can see now our ancestors lived and we can also get an idea of the society and economic status of the...

The 14 of February, I went with My High School to an archaeological site next to the Alcazaba. We were driven there by bus. The aim of the trip was to learn more of our History and the importance of Almeria in The I century. The place was impressive, we could see that the people who lived there, they had a lot of money for the houses that they built with marble. Also coins were manufactured in Almeria at that time. Another sosprising point way the state of anservation of it, because it was covered by send dere to an earthquake. To decorate their houses, they used boil plants and this also was used to keep mosquitoes away. In my opinion the thing that seemed most interesting to me is that in the same room they cooked, ate and did leisure things. And I would have liked them to have put in some interactive...
