La Perla — Hotel in Almeria

The location is great, and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars in the area to enjoy. Originally booked a room with a double bed but was very disappointed once I found out that I got instead a room with single beds and got an explanation that there is none available which is hard to believe since I booked 3 weeks ahead. The room was very small, tv on the wall barely holding (see the photo) itself and is quite small and outdated, no proper blackout curtains, so we slept with lights coming through the window during the night. The bathroom was smelling extremely bad for some reason, and there was no mosquito netting on the windows, so opening it wasn't a solution. We found loads of hair on the sheets from previous guests also. Breakfast was okay, nothing to add there. Overall it's not worth the money in my opinion and I kinda regret booking this hotel and won't repeat this experience. If this is your first stay in almeria then you will find it hard to match the location of this hotel.It is about a 15 min walk away from the city's combined train and bus station at the top of paseo almeria in the heart of the city.||2 of the must c sites the alcazaba and the mirador statue of christ are a 15 min climb from hotel.||The rooms are adequate comfortable bed flat screen TV (could do with foreign channels for Dutch American German French English visitors) good size bathroom and power shower.||The reception staff have good local knowledge and never failed to respond to requests.The town hall and tourist office is a 5 min walk away and should be your first stop to pick up the info to...

We were only staying in Almeria for 1 night on a road trip. You absolutely cannot beat this location. It is right in the middle of everything. It was under a 10 minute walk to the Alcazaba. Parking is in a parking garage about 2 blocks away and it was about $20. The hotel has an elevator. Our room was nice that it had 4 single beds and the bathroom was very modern. I would have rated this hotel as absolutely exceptional if the A/C worked better. That was our only problem - our room was warm.
