There is no english menu. You cannot get any information about food they serve from the service.

The traditional and trendy place to go.
We went here with our (Spanish) cousins who live in Almeria, so know all the best places to go. This is probably the most famous place for tapas in Almeria - a place which is anyway famous for its tapas.
When you go in the door you are usually greeted with a mass of backs - people standing two or three deep at the bar, all shouting and laughing and eating non-stop.
Your heart may sink, but if you push through the happy crowd and aim for the back at the left, there is a small area with less than a dozen tables. If you're lucky, you'll find one free.
The tables are small, the whole place is cramped, but at least you are not part of that milling crowd at the bar!
Casa Puga has always been the traditional place to go for tapas in the town centre. It has maintained its popularity, and young people now throng it too.
The food is good, the service pretty poor, as the waiter is overworked, and doubtless the kitchen is too.

This place is so good that it should have a warning to tourists that eating here may cause a sudden and overwhelming urge to relocate to Spain. LISTEN, if you are in Almeria and do not come here for tapas it is a crime! The quality to price ratio is off the charts. The food is amazing and it is quite possible to satisfy yourself by simply dining on the free tapas that are included with your drinks. It is nearly impossible to spend more then 20 euros a person here no matter how much you eat and drink as long as you stick to tapas and half plates.
