We stayed in one of the Junior suites, which are a total of 8, all located at one end, and are not suited for families. Here for 10 days, and overall, we enjoyed our stay.||Our suite No.6 was very nice, kept clean each day by housekeeping, ample room for 2 people, and the kitchenette was very useful as we prepared our breakfasts each morning never fancied the experience of taking it in the room where young families were present. The shower room and toilet area were quite large enough for us. Always quiet 24/7, as the steps put some people off.||Found the little mini store in reception useful, especially for the Nescafe machine we had in our room. The reception staff are always on hand and very helpful. One guy told us about a walk that had been constructed from Camp De Mar to Andratx, if you like walking, it's nice.||The Spa building was disappointing, the Sauna was not very hot, the power showers opposite needed maintenance and had been in poor condition for some time. It's nicely laid out, however, it's virtually impossible to use as families take their kids in the pool and the noise is horrendous, so the only time you might get a chance to relax would be very early or late in the day, no chance on a wet or cloudy day. The pool attendants were like chalk and cheese, the young lady was really on the ball, telling guests that they could not take alcohol in the pool, and unaccompanied children were not allowed to swim in the deep end of the pool. The male attendant did not seem very interested in his job, and never told people to comply with the pool rules. One day, a family of four were using the pool sun beds and the parents were letting the children stand on these beds and eating food on them, and walking around the pool eating (Ugh). Hence, we asked for some sun beds to be put in place on the grassed area, much nicer away from them.||We ate several times at the Complex restaurant (See separate review). Would we go back? No, as we have stayed in the area before, but the business model does conflict, yes, family complex and yet they have 8 junior suites suitable only really for couples, and that's why you see each day, couples on one end and families at the other end in...
Read moreGood facilities. Evening and breakfast buffet handy, as well as indoor pool, especially if you have children. If you are militant about food times then this will fit in with your schedule. Views are great and the beach is a short and scenic walk. The most polite and welcoming staff were the cleaning and maintenance people and the guy who ran the onsite shop. The main guy in the buffet restaurant clearly only enjoys his job when speaking German to German guests. My observations. This was disappointing. It's interesting to see a few complaints on the reviews about children, given that there is a "children's pool" mentioned on the website. Therefore the hotel is surely "child friendly". Or is it? For those that do not like children, I suggest you stay at home and never leave your house. Children are everywhere. On public transport, in restaurants, walking the streets, playing on the beach etc. The reason I have only left a "good" rating is that I wasn't really made to feel welcome (I believe) because I had a child. On the first night in the buffet restaurant, our group was clapped and shouted at and told to be quiet by a rather rude and angry German guest. Staff did not step in, leaving me no option other than to do so myself. Only then were staff interested in doing something about it. Throughout the rest of the week we were made to feel unwelcome by other older, grumpy German guests, (mostly couples) who were clearly not a fan of children playing around the pool, or making any noise in the slightest. On some of the nights, even when our child had gone to bed, we were told to be quiet whilst talking and having a drink on the balcony. Not really a relaxing "holiday" atmosphere. We definitely did not receive the service in line with a 4 star Hotel/Apartment and will absolutely not be staying here again. That aside, the fact that the beach was so close was an absolute godsend, where we could play, talk and drink to our hearts content without anybody else raising an eyebrow, clapping or being rude. The beach restaurant (on the small island) was very welcoming, served awesome food and were great...
Read moreHands down the best experience we’ve had at a hotel. We came for a babymoon and got upgraded to a junior suite and it is the most stunning view to wake up to in the morning. ||The staff are so so lovely and are willing to help you in any way they can! I had very swollen feet and they dropped off a bucket for me to soak my feet in. They couldn’t do enough for you. ||The front desk is 24 hours and they do have a small cupboard like pantry stocked with snacks, wine, beer, coffee pods etc! As a pregnant lady it’s the dream! ||The food was great as well! We were half board and it was a buffet style for both breakfast and dinners. Breakfast was fab, dinner was a bit of a miss if you’re vegetarian like me. There was only one option for vegetarians so I had chips and some other bits I knew I could have, so We ended up eating out quite a bit. ||The restaurant Flor De Sal which is the Al a cart restaurant in the hotel is stunning! Lots of veggie options and great views of the water! ||The hotel itself is just gorgeous. Lots of stairs though! Views are incredible and absolutely worth it. ||You’re only maybe a 5-6 minute walk to Camp De Mar beach and lots of food options there too!||We are already planning a trip back with our baby when he’s born and We can’t wait. A very family friendly hotel and We couldn’t...
