Hotel Catalonia Mikado — Attraction in Barcelona

There are zero touristic places less than 2.5km range. It’s super noisy, the hotel store is a joke, hotel continental breakfast food quantity is insufficient if you arrive after 9:30am. No assistance. Room view is to apartment building 3 meters away in both sides. Pool/jacuzzi are closed for 8 to 9 months during the year. The worst part is the wasps and bees that have their home in several hotel windows and between many hotel cracks on the side. During summer time you can see over 500 bees and wasps flying around it. They have attacked people at the pool area and street. The hotel doesn’t do anything about it. A big school is right next to the hotel. Expect kids yelling and loud noise from them from 8am to 16h. Specially when they are playing sports.

El hotel para decir que nunca ha pasado nada con sus huéspedes, pero eso no es verdad. A mi hijo le ha pasado y otras 2 personas que conozco. Han sido atacadas por las abejas. Infelizmente ni el hotel, ni la jefatura de Sarria hacen algo a respecto.

Yo he reportado y he sido ignorado por todos.

El desayuno, bueno, si no es continental y es buffet da igual, ya que la comida no ha tenido reposición.

Acepta la critica y trabaje para que este mejor al envés de contestar como si no hubiera problemas. Al final, ninguna empresa es perfecta.

I have stayed at the hotel for 4 days in August 2024 with my wife and son while my apartment was remodeling next to the hotel. Google shouldn't take down my information as everything is true and anyone can come and see it.

This is a great place for a quick stay or emergent stay. Sadly, our stay was long and the inadequacies wore on us. The front desk staff is kind albeit slow and not really interested in going that extra mile. More than once we asked to buy water (the bar is atttached to the front desk) because the water dispenser on the counter was empty 80% of the time and were told to go to the vending machine while the clerk was on the computer. The breakfast sat out at room temp for hours and the was wrapped up and put back in the fridge. The ice bins for keeping chilled food cold didnt contain ice and the food just sat in and sweat. So, if room temp kefir is your go to...there is plenty. The eggs were made and reused day after day and were wet with oil (also not kept warm). Our room smelled of mold and has visible mold growing around the inside and outside of the shower. The AC was less than cool. The pool had a fake surround that is show on the site as real. The guests that were frequenting the pool definitely needed some direction on bathing attire, the pool is not an ashtray and beer bottles around the pool. Smoking on the emergency exit at night was a regular occurrence. Overall...
