We stayed at this hotel for about a week. The cleaning staff is horrible they don’t clean the bathrooms or change the bedding daily and if you ask them to do it they get all offended and always have a smart answer. The bar was closed after 1pm and you can’t even get sugar or ice past that time or simply a glass. There were two rude employees at the front desk,Will and Mercedes. The others were nice. Not sure why a business owner would hire Will as the head of the front desk he has no manners or education and seems to come from the ghetto. The worst part probably was the service provided by the server at the bar, they had one only. The server came to substitute the FT employees that were on vacation. One day I went to have breakfast with my father and this guy was slamming plates as he was putting them away, making a lot of noise like is he was really upset and he turned on the tv, selected a channel in French and turned it up super loud. Very annoying. On a different occasion I went to the bar during lunch time and I sat at a table with dirty plates, there was no single table clean . After waiting 15 minutes and being completely ignored I went to the server to ash for high chair to feed my 10 month old baby. He replied to me that he was not going to be able to help me for at least 30 minutes because he was busy. I asked him again for the baby’s chair and told him the baby was too little and needed to eat right away and could not wait so long. He then replied to me that he had no chairs which is not true coz I got it once before. The business...
Read moreWe stayed here during our first trip to Barcelona this past week.
We arrived at 11am, check in wasn't until 3pm but we were able to go to the lower level and relax on the couches without any issues. Very thankful for that as we were exhausted.
Beautiful boutique hotel. My boyfriend speaks Spanish so we had a wonderful, easy experience. We bought breakfast two mornings in a row, 11 euro each. It was a very basic breakfast but none the less good.
We left the DND sign on our door the entire time, so I don't have a review on house keeping. Room was good upon check-in though. The mini bar was stocked full with juices, alcohol, pops, water, snacks, etc.
Location is about 5km from gothic district so the walk is about 1.5 hours- did it twice. Walk there was great, lots to see. Walk back sucked because we were sore and tired. We ended up learning the bus & metro system- it's extremely easy and free with the Barcelona tourist card. The location is in the medical district and seems to be a big higher scale, corner stores, restaurants, and more are all around. We loved the area, it was very quiet.
The only reason I don't give it a 5/5 is because the finishes seem a bit outdated, and if it wasn't for the transportation systems, we would have walked most of our trip. We loved the hotel though and will...
Read moreCleanliness: The double we had was spotless clean. I couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the room or the bathroom. The rooms were spacious too. Location: The hotel was a little far from the main places, if your walking by foot but by car they were all near by. There is a parking space provided by the hotel, which you have to pay for an additional fee. Otherwise you can get free parking on the streets between 2000-0800 or on the weekends. During peak hours or on the weekdays, it’s difficult to get parking.Service: For some reason when we arrived for the check in, the hotel staff received confirmation for 1 person when I booked two. That issue quickly got resolved when I had to send them my confirmation email and voucher to prove I paid for two adults. The staff were lovely and attentive. Amenities: The hotel has a restaurant with it, a fitness area. The room had towels provided with it with hot running water. The rooms were sound proof. I couldn’t fault the room. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Downside: When you check in, we had to pay city tax at the hotel. It was my fault as I didn’t read the small print so I was a little unprepared for that. But I would prefer if I had the option to pay that online before hand which I didn’t. The city tax was £4.25 per person per night or in...
