My friends and I attended the Sex and Wine party https://bodegasmonje.com/en/monje-cultural-space/wine-sex/

This event had quite good advertising and promotion on the website. I expected to see well-prepared performers and an abundance of excellent food. However, my disappointment was immense!

The theme of the party was Dracula and vampires. Initially, I liked the setting and the actors, but upon closer inspection, I realized that only the first few rooms were decorated well.

When we went down to the winery, there were snacks and wine being offered. The snacks were so few that by the time I queued for wine, they were gone. I literally managed to get one toast with guacamole, which was stale.

We spent the first 1.5 hours on our feet, moving from room to room, and with 150 guests, this process was very drawn out.

Then came the main performance. The actors were absolutely unprepared, all the dances were out of sync, and it looked very childish. This was not what I paid 115 euros per person for!!!

Moreover, the sex theme was presented so ridiculously that I genuinely couldn't understand when it was supposed to be appealing. The actors were completely unprofessional and didn't understand that if a guest isn't interacting with them, they should just move on.

At the end, we were served hot food around 23 โ€”very late. For dessert, they served cheesecake, which turned out to be panna cotta. A complete disappointment. I don't recommend anyone to waste their money on this party.

The winery itself is beautiful and located in...

Booked wine tasting for 5 wines for 2pm, we turned up an hour early with the intention of grabbing something light to eat, but weren't told the tour started an hour before your tastings so we missed the tour. In the restaurant we asked if they offered a light option, like a sandwich to which the waitress laughed at us saying "we don't do sandwiches" no but you do do bread and cheeses which is the same in effect if you aren't so pretentious!! Then we went through for the tasting to a lovely room surrounded by wine bottles in a lovely atmosphere, alas though that wasn't where we were being seated, we were dumped in the cold shed with 2 glasses a pot of biscuits and every now and again someone would drop by to give you a dribble of another wine, minimal explanation on wine and left to it, no clean glasses just a bottle of water to wash your one glass out yourself!! When we'd finished we went to go to the shop and it was shut so we couldn't even browse. Wouldn't recommend at all, rude staff, never felt so unwelcome in our life!! Better off going to a bar and ordering 5 glasses of different wine, better value for money...

We had an incredible experience during our wine tour. The wine was absolutely amazing, and so were the guides. We participated in a tour that included the tasting of four different wines, and each one was delightful in its own way. The wines were paired with local cheeses, which were also fantastic, adding to the overall experience. We enjoyed the wines so much that we decided to order additional glasses, and they were just as impressive.

The ladies who guided us spoke perfect English and were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the tour even more enjoyable. They provided lots of interesting information about the wines and the cellar, making the tour both informative and engaging.

The cellar tour itself was fascinating, offering a glimpse into the history and process of winemaking. However, I should mention that we traveled by bus and had to walk up and down a hill to reach the cellar. The path can be quite slippery, especially on the way down, so it's important to be cautious. Despite that, the experience was amazing overall. If you're a wine lover, this tour is definitely worth it. We left feeling...

Had a pleasure to enjoy mojo workshop with lunch and winery tour. The winery tour (with a group) was informative, a lot of details were given with passion and nice humor. The winery is relatively small (in compare with those on mainland) but it has long history on Tenerife. I was the only one signed for the mojo workshop and was not sure if it would take place for just one person. It did! The chef cook took time to show and explain how to make two mojos, gave nice cooking tips and was super polite when tried my "creations". And the hand made souces are soooo more delicious than anything one can buy in jars! Even those which I did myself during the course. ;) The lunch was very-very delicious as well. I was thinking about fish but was persuaded to take local speciality and this was very right choice. The food presentation was great, too.
