Absolute best restaurant in Tenerife and is a must visit if you find yourself on the island. This restaurant has everything; food, service, atmosphere, the works. They serve the best paella 🥘 I've ever had. I'd even put this above the famous la Pepica in Valencia. Would give this place 10 stars if I could.
The restaurant mostly serves mostly locals and has a very authentic family oriented vibe. The service was fantastic; the owner of the restaurant made sure our food was perfect, which it was. They serve many different variations of paella, however the go-to dish seems to be the Paella Mix which comes with shrimp, clams, mussels, scallops, fish, chicken, and a variety of veggies. For appetizers, I had the spiced potatos which were delicious and perfectly spicy. The house salad comes with smoked salmon, tuna, kiwi, avocado, cucumber, onion, bell pepper and tomato and is also highly recommend.
Being a local spot they don't speak too much English here. However, one of the very friendly locals saved me from my awful Spanish and kindly translated for me. I wouldn't worry however even if you're not fluent Spanish - Paella sounds the same in both languages.
I visited for lunch around 2pm and was seated immediately. However, given the quality of the restaurant I'd imagine there would be a wait for dinner. Parking was easy as there is street parking around the area readily available.
In summary, this visit made my trip and showed me the kindness and warmth of the local people as well as served the best paella...
Read moreThis was recommended by our airbnb host in the local area. We came here for to fit in our last meal on New Years eve just 30 mins before the place was closed down. Antonio welcomed us anyway. The calamari was high quality with 100% squid, well portioned and so delicious. The paella was unbelievable, freshly made and easily both our best paella so far. Most importantly we were served with such a warm atmosphere and you can tell he has so much pride and confidence in the food they serve. This is definitely a more local and authentic spot as they don't speak much English - however you can still experience the best service they have to offer.
We were guilty of finishing our food later than when the restaurant closes (20 past on the new years eve) but regardless Antonio stayed back after the staff has left, and he was very interested in where we came from and how we got to know about the place. As we paid he gave us 2 shots each of very delicious home made liqueur on the house to celebrate. Absolute legend and was a wonderful experience. Would 100% recommend it to anyone...
