CHURRERIA LA CALA — Local services in Benidorm

We received a warm welcome from the host upon arrival and the service was good. I ordered the Steak and Chips, unfortunately the steak was not up to standard. It was so tough and even with a steak knife I struggled to cut it and unfortunately I had to go hungry. My girlfriend ordered the chicken and cheese sandwich which was fine. Furthermore when I raised my dissatisfaction with the host, his reply was ‘the steak is tender’. If it was tender I wouldn’t have left it. However I didn’t make a fuss and I paid for the food and left and went to the cafe opposite the Grand Bali hotel, which was excellent. This little place we stumbled upon whilst waiting to check into Gran Bali. We visited everyday after this. Don't let how it looks from the outside put you off. The staff are very welcoming. No sirven desayunos porque la cocina no abre hasta las 12, tardan muchísimo en atender y atienden a otras personas antes aunque hayan llegado después. La persona que nos atendió fue borde y desagradable.

Edito para añadir más información, ya que veo que la profesionalidad con que se responde es proporcional a la profesionalidad con la que se atiende. Estuvimos a principios del mes de septiembre de este año en Benidorm y decidimos ir a desayunar a esta churrería, estuvimos más de media hora esperando (eramos 6) y mientras esperábamos se atendió a otras personas que llegaron después. Cuando la mujer decidió atendernos, nos informó de muy malas maneras que primero pidiéramos la bebida, le pregunté si tenía leche de soja y me dijo "esto es una churrería normal, señora" (debe ser que los que tomamos leche de soja, por los motivos que sean, no somos normales), ignorando el desafortunado comentario pedimos la bebida y quisimos pedir un desayuno inglés, pero nos informó que la cocina no abría hasta las 12, que solo tenían bollería. Por cierto, tengo foto de ese día sentados en la mesa, del desayuno no, porque nos fuimos, ya que nos dijeron que la cocina no abría hasta las 12.
