I've been to Guadamar many times to stay and explore. A typical Costa Blanca town but with some beautiful features. Yes it has a fantastic sandy white beach leading down to an old part of the town where storms in recent years have destroyed wonderful dwellings of a bygone era. Just inland from this is the most tranquil of parks Reina Sofia. Although a little bit hilly in places it is covered in by very high trees , which gives a lovely cooling effect in hot days. There are several species of wading birds and you can always tell when the moody ducks are having the moody blues. My favourite though is the Peacocks and hens. What wonderful grandeur they can show. I've got to know the Peacock well over past number of years and named him "Paddy". A wonderful place to spend half an hour or more getting to know new friends.
