I've been to Guadamar many times to stay and explore. A typical Costa Blanca town but with some beautiful features. Yes it has a fantastic sandy white beach leading down to an old part of the town where storms in recent years have destroyed wonderful dwellings of a bygone era. Just inland from this is the most tranquil of parks Reina Sofia. Although a little bit hilly in places it is covered in by very high trees , which gives a lovely cooling effect in hot days. There are several species of wading birds and you can always tell when the moody ducks are having the moody blues. My favourite though is the Peacocks and hens. What wonderful grandeur they can show. Read moreWe visit here every year on our annual holiday. The park is great for the kids and the fact it is free is brilliant. I would give this 5 stars bit now starting to see it age and would love for the council to invest in some maintenance. Things like wooden fence posts that have broken are being held in place with layers of duct tape. Surely a new post can be sourced and fitted? Also the children's area is nice and is shaded well in the trees, but again, this is showing signs of its age and many of the equipment...

Lots of little areas around the park for different sports such as football, table tennis, bowls, and other things.
There are also playgrounds for children. Lots of benches and seating.
In the summer months there is always a night market and fair that sits along side it.
