Well what an experience. Good bits first, surroundings, service and food. All lovely. Now the bad bit, or should I say “person” and the reason why we will never ever come here again and more importantly will tell all our friends not to, and due to us having a second home in Puerto Rico we meet lots of people. We visited here a couple of times this break and up until today didn’t have the unfortunate experience of meeting the Manager. Well what a rude obnoxious little man he turned out to be. When we arrived My wife and I were initially shown all the facilities including the Jacuzzi’s and we understood that once we booked in we were free to use all of these with the exception of paying separately for food and drink. Well we got into one of the Jacuzzi’s and all of a sudden was approached by a young lady stating that this was a private area and we weren’t allowed to be there. Now she was polite however the gentleman, and I say that tongue in cheek, started shouting at us and her. We got out of the Jacuzzi and I told him not to be so rude and he told me to get out, then shouted at the young woman in Spanish (in front of all the other patrons). She then asked us to collect our belongings and leave! I said that I wouldn’t pay the bill if she was “throwing” us out at which she changed her mind. I feel so sorry for the staff working here having him scream at them, so totally unprofessional. More importantly what would have been a 5 out of 5 is now only a 1. How on earth has this guy become a manager of anything...
Read moreHorrible. We wanted to sit down for a relaxing lunch. Drove all the way and walked down to Maroa. We arrived there and the first thing we had to encounter was I believe a manager fighting with 3 other colleagues? Shouting to each other whilst one crew member holding the other back asif the wanted to fist fight. We continued inside, passed some staff and weren't greeted nor told where we could take a seat. Finally arriving at the bar a lady told us we could sit anywhere for lunch, as we did. We proceeded to wait up to 15 minutes. Nobody came to help us.. the ladies, a table infront of us got their food but asked where their wine was? It probably took another 10 minutes before the lady stood up walked to the bar and demanded her wine.. nice dining. Meanwhile the terras started to fill but nobody was being served. At this point we left, just like several other tables did. Annoyed and confused what was actually going on here. Don't let the website pretty pictures fool you.. this was absolutely horrible. Some staff were still sitting outside in a what looked like a drum circle still discussing the fight that happend 30 mins earlier. Is there nobody there that takes action?🤔 never ever again.. such a shame because the location is amazing they really could've made something magical...
Read moreComing here both during the day and in the evening for the food and the sunbeds has been the highlight of our holiday every year! Sadly after many years not sure we will be returning. Our evening meal was tasty but cold so politely asked if they could warm it up. It returned with my half eaten peppers and sauce welded to the plate! No apology…. Actually no response at all! The staff never spoke really other than one word responses or answers? At the end of the evening I spoke to a guy who said he was the manager and gently told him of our experience he just looked at me and said “yes I know” and shrugged his shoulders????
We also went during the day and was asking how we got the deals from AVC and during the conversation I just felt attacked and not listened to all in front of other customers. Just a general lack of communication, an inability to listen, resistance to help and made to feel really unwelcome. If procedures have changed over the years we knew nothing about it!
We continue to love the reception staff and the AVC staff but Moroa just had a attitude of “we are not really bothered” and they certainly made their...
