Namaste india Anfi del Mar — Restaurant in Mogán

TLDR: Wait time was horrible, and food was almost blander then a cup of milk and sauce colder then the human touch.

Would not recommend this place to anyone.

While the atmosphere is certainly is a lot better then most if not the other places, it has a pretty open seating area with some nice sun parasols and good soft looking lighting, the tables also got nice and clean looking table cloths on all the tables.

That is where the niceties end and where everything else goes downhill.

We got seated pretty fast when we first entered, and all seemed to be fine, but as soon as they got our order, then nothing, we waited 40 minutes before one actually nice waiter noticed us and actually came to check up on us and had to write down our orders and actually made sure it got made.

When that waiter actually gave our orders, some of the food came in around 10 minutes time, but they couldn’t even give us all or correct amount of orders, we ordered 3 meals and 2 sides and asked to get them the same time as the rest of the food, but we had to get the waiter again just to wait 5 more minutes to get them served too.

When we finally had all the food and actually looked at the sizes, we got extremely disappointed, we literally spent 25 euro per person, and it wasn’t even enough food to sate our hunger.

But to talk about the food, you know it’s disappointing when an Indian and they don’t even ask how spicy you like it.

For example, we ordered 2 of the spicy rice, and it somehow tasted blander then the white rice, and the porsjon of the rice were so small that it feels like a ripoff paying 3,5 to 5 euros per serving, like come on, when your asking such a price for just rice, at least give us enough to at least, fill the plate, the whole place was extremely over priced from portions to the disappointing culinary experience.

Also, every meat besides the king prawn, were so bland and dry that without sauce(which, they literally didn’t serve with the food, it came when we were half way done) it literally think boiling the chicken would prove an more tasteful and enjoyable experience.

After we had ate and were finished, we had to wait 10 min before someone came to give us the receipt, and they even managed to get that wrong and tried to bill us for an extra rice, when we notified them of the problem, our waiter walked off, and never returned, we had to wait almost 20 min and we almost debated on just leaving after this experience before the only nice waiter to come, and fix the receipt and let us pay.

So all in all, a nice dinner which would last max 40 minutes ended up taking around 2 and an half hour just for food more boring then McDonald burger, dryer then the Sahara Desert and sauce almost as cold as Antarctica.

Food amazing ( girl waitress disgusting)

Nearly walked out due to the girl sever looked like she didn't want us. No smile seemed like she didn't want to be there as if we were a chore & she was above. If you don't like the job leave don't take it out on customers. She really needs to get some customer training. I asked one boy who has turban wored on she has some issues taking order or what ! Or she doesn't like the job. Even she didn't accept her fault when I said I ordered chicken madras but it came out fish & when she showed my order then I told her I didnt ordered that she was on her own like you ordered this mam, may be you said something wrong. No worries I'll change it. But at last the restaurant was very busy so I said that's okey. I will eat the fish but l was allergic to sea foods so but I asked a guy he was very polite & gentle but in other side the girl she was really so disgusting. This was our second visit, last time it was same me my husband & my son wife re visited to give the benefit of the doubt & again poor attitude from the female waitresss . Last time there was 2 waitress, the other waitress was good. But this one ughhss she's just too much. We have been here in GC almost past 7 years & this type of behaviour never got from any restaurant. This is such a shame restaurant as many other restaurant & bar owner knows us a frequent visitors & welcome us with open arms while this lady rolls her eyes. I'll never visit again. The bosses need to clearly see who deserve what . Every restaurant in grancnanaria will offer you a complimentary baileys or honeyrum after a meal not here even though we've had them in the past •. I listened it from a lot of people I met there she was really soo rude. We even reserved a table for inside but they gave us at the last side where there was windy. Great new Restaurant at the Anfi Del Mar Pier. The Restaurant is only open since 15 days (Beginning of December 2024), so the processes are still to be put in place.

We ate there tonight and it was very nice.

The place is nicely set up in a beautiful enclosure, nice tables and blankets are already prepared for the cold december nights, beware it is outside and it might be windy as it is right next to te sea.

A lot of choices on the menu, also quite some vegetarian dishes (could be a bit more, like a choice for the namaste currys?)

We had to wait quite a bit for the food, but given the only 2 weeks of getting used to the tables/kitchen/ordering system, not a problem.

The food was plenty and delicious! Loved it and we think we'll return before we leave back home.

Price wise, we thought we got a good value for our money, maybe one of the pricier restaurants at Anfi del mar, but worth it!!

Servers were quite friendly, but also a bit stressed with a full house and everything new.

For us, definitely a place to revisit!
