Came for a visit with my two friends, my 3 year old and my friend's disabled wheelchair bound daughter. On arrival Antonio grumpily showed us the lift and didn't give any instruction on which floor to go to, or any help at all for that matter. We had the notion from him that we were a hinderance. We got off on the second floor and within minutes Antonio (miserable looking man , dark hair and glasses) ran upstairs like a psychopath and shouted at my daughter for touching the paintings, of which She didn't as I always have my eye on her and always make sure She is not touching anything. My friends and I were so shocked to see such horrible treatment that We immediately left as We felt so unwelcome. Read morethe building is absolutely beautiful, loved all the marble which offered a very nice setting for the art displays not too many artworks but a nice selection of contemporary art, although there wasn't any piece that absolutely wowed me personally there is one thing i will have to critique though: as an art history student i would've been very curious to find out about the techniques/ materials used in the art works but unfortunately that information wasnt given anywhere :/ all in all i would definitely recommend visiting this museum, its a nice little detour from the busy streets of palma and the artworks as well as the building are worth seeing! bonus points because the entry is free :) love it when art is easily accessible...
