I give two stars because near the church there is a cafe where a very rude person works. I could not expect such an attitude to customer. Let me tell you the story from the beginning. I wanted to go to the church and to lighten several candles for the health of my family. This is a difficult time in my life hence my friends were waiting for me while I’m praying. After that I decided to spend some more time near the church and I went to small cafe on the left side. I took my coffee and I asked my boyfriend and friend to wait for me till I drink it. As they didn’t take anything owner raised his voice and asked them to leave immediately. After I told that how he imagines that I should sit alone, he asked me also to leave, if I disagree. Of course I told that I don’t like such an attitude to customer, and he started shouting at me telling “leave now, I’m closing this place” To sum up, I couldn’t finish my coffee even and we didn’t spend there more than two minutes. What is interesting there were no people around and I was the only customer at this place. Discourage you from ordering sth there. Such people shouldn’t be allowed to work...
Read moreThis is a review of the top of the steps. The views from here is nice and there is a cute little cafe where you can get some icecream or drinks or coffee. There are few cats around which let you pet. The climb was not at all hard. Our 3 years old daughter climbed all the way up and down buy it was with a few breaks and with help of some juice. Some people climbed in one stretch and hence were panting heavily. I found the houses on the side of the steps where beautiful and should be enjoyed. There was a house with jasmine or similar climber and the sweet smell was so good. A stone bench sort of thing was just opposite to this house so I recommend sitting there and take time to smell...
Read moreParking is available a 10 minute walk from the bottom of the steps, but even on a weekday in September we were lucky to get a spot.
The views from the chapel were great but the chapel itself was a lot smaller than I realised (not that I was too bothered!) There is a small cafe at the top as well. The steps aren’t too difficult to climb but there’s plenty of areas to stop and rest, as well as admire the view if you need to!
I only gave it 3 stars as there’s not really a lot to do. If you’re in Pollença? Go for it. Wouldn’t recommend a day trip to the chapel- there’s plenty of religious buildings on the island...
