Beautiful, informative museum which offers even an excellent audio guide in several languages. This seems to be rare in Catalonia - outside of Barcelona at least. The text is supposed to start automatic when you approach an an exhibit. My little machine was rather capricious though: the text was often interrupted, started again or some text did never seem to come up at all. I do not know if my machine was nervous, if the system was stressed out or if I was moving wrongly. And there was no staff on the floors to ask. But nonetheless an excellent museum. One proposal: Reus as the birthplace of Gaudi lacks any buildings by him but has two great buildings by his colleague/rival Domenech i Montaner. Those buildings are certainly the peak of Reus’ heritage. Though Gaudi name sells probably better it would really make sense to have one part of the museum about their artistic and personal...
Read moreAbsolutely great experience. Helpful, kind and knowledgeable staff. Visiting the centre is a must before stepping inside the Sagrada Familia. I’ve seen it from the outside but never been inside. I have learnt a lot from this short visit in Gaudi’s Museum in Reus. What a genius he was. I have been in Reus (Gaudi’s birth place) few times and always planning to visit the museum. I’m so glad I’ve done it. I’m ready to visit the Sagrada Familia. Thank you all working at the musem, for being welcoming and guiding me through the exhibition. To all of you visiting the Museum - do it, without any hesitation! You will surely enjoy it, whether before or after visiting the Basilica...

I did have some trouble getting the headphone audio tour to synchronise with what I was looking at. It is proximity based so is triggered when you are near each exhibit. Unfortunately it seemed a bit sensitive to movement, meaning you could accidentally stop the audio or pick up the narrative for another part of the exhibition you weren't looking at.
I think perhaps a more old style version where you key in a number relating to what you are looking at might be a bit more reliable.
Still, I would highly...
