The Plaza de la Constitución de Sóller is the social and festive center of the town: most of the town's festivals and popular events are celebrated and it's the perfect meeting point and place to relax in Sóller, thanks to the tranquillity that is breathed and the seating benches located under the pleasant shade of the trees in the square. The Plaza de la Constitución -places par excellence of Sóller- is considered one of the most beautiful in Mallorca for its central rose stone agora with a water spout and the set of modernist buildings that surround it: the Church of Sant Bartomeu de Sóller, the Banco de Sóller, Can Bordils and the Casa de la Vila. The Casa de la Vila or Sóller Town Hall, located to the right of the church of Sóller, is a baroque building designed by the architect Antoni Coll, inaugurated in 1973 and currently becoming the political and administrative center of the city. Above all of its facade we can see a gigantic Sóller shield inaugurated in 1976. Following the entrance stairway to the interior of the building we'll find the Magna Hall that houses a collection of oil portraits of the Illustrious Sons of Sóller and the municipal archive, with books, scrolls, letters, files and other documents dating back to the first third 14th century.

We stayed in Sóller for a week, and almost every evening we ended up in Plaça de la Constitució. It’s the heart of the town, surrounded by many restaurants where we had some really delicious meals. The square has such a lively atmosphere with people sitting outside, children playing, and the tram or train passing through all day — it never gets boring to watch. On Saturday we even got to see the stalls set up in the square — a really nice surprise with local products and a friendly atmosphere. The church of Sant Bartomeu gives the whole square a beautiful backdrop, especially in the evening when the lights come on. The only small downside was that the fountain wasn’t working during our stay, but it didn’t take away from the charm. This square quickly became our favorite spot in Sóller.

Soller is a picturesque town nestled in a stunning valley, surrounded by mountains and orange groves. The town's popularity has led to a degree of commercialization, and some of its authentic charm has been overshadowed by tourism. The vintage train from Palma offers a pleasant journey, but it's not a truly spectacular experience. Similarly, the tram to the port is functional but can be expensive and very crowded. Despite the crowds, Soller is still a beautiful place that I recommend visiting for its natural beauty and culture. Just be prepared for the bustling atmosphere.
