GEORGs - Genuss & Lebensfreude — Local services in Sóller

Attractive shop (one of a chain) selling expensive herbs, oils and pre-packaged spices and dip mixes, with lots of colourful stuff to look at. Caters mainly to tourists and with a strong Germanic resonance, including the helpful sales assistants. Good for buying the odd gift of "mix it yourself spice dips" but at a price. That said, the products are fresh and of good quality, and you can taste samples before you buy. They don't like you taking photographs inside the shop, which is rather odd and unwelcoming.... And quite why they choose to name the place 'Georgs Genuss & Lebensfreude' is, frankly, a turn off to me (as well as local friends and family, who are getting a touch jaded about the increasing use of tourist, as opposed to mallorquín, nomenclature...) A good indicator is to look at how many reviews have actually been written by 'local' local guides rather than tourists - none? We are in Spain, not Germany, so let's stick to...

Excellent shop for foodies, with tasters (served with small pieces of bread) for many of the sauces, condiments etc, and friendly staff encouraging you to try without the hard sell. Impossible to come out without a tasty purchase. Followed by quick trip to fruit / veg shop down the road for sundried tomatoes, bakery for bread, and back to villa for a nice...

Was für ein toller kleiner Gewürzladen. Wenn du in den Laden gehst, riechst du einfach die frischen leckeren Gewürze so intensiv. Das wahr der Hammer. Es stehen von vielen verschiedenen Gewürzen, ölen etc. Probier Möglichkeiten da und was soll ich sagen. Wow!. So etwas tolles. Haben uns gleich jede Menge mitgenommen und wir hoffen das auch viele weitere Produkte online mit aufgenommen werden. Besonders die mit orangen. Die hauen mich einfach um! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
