SaGranja is a charming spot right outside the cathedral in the historic town of Sóller, located about an hour's drive from Palma. The location is fantastic — in the heart of the town, with good sunlight on a clear day, though it can get a bit windy, depending on the weather. It's definitely a great place to relax and take in the views of this picturesque area.
The restaurant offers a broad menu, with everything from Spanish tapas to Italian pizza and pasta. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, it's understandable considering the tourist-heavy location. We tried the tapas combo of four and the vegetarian paella. The tapas were good, but nothing too adventurous or unique — just standard fare. However, the vegetarian paella left something to be desired. It only had three veggies in it, which felt a bit underwhelming for a dish that usually packs so much flavor and variety. Maybe it just wasn’t my flavor. 😹
Despite that, the overall experience was enjoyable. The sangria was delicious and refreshing, which is a perfect drink for the atmosphere. SaGranja does a good job with its food and drink offerings, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
In conclusion, while not a culinary adventure, SaGranja is still worth a visit for its location, the variety of options, and the pleasant vibe. It’s a good spot to try for a casual meal, especially if you're in the area and looking to enjoy some food and drinks in the heart of...
Read moreThe food and services were excellent that we came back again after the first night.
For the first night, we ordered Mallorcan Lamb Chops and Serrano salad. The lamb chops were so tender and juicy, salad dressings were great and came in big portion. And of course, chocolate volcano with ice cream for dessert. Choco is the best!
For the second night, I tried to use spanish to communicate with the staff, it was really fun and I learnt new vocab too! We tried lamb shoulders and Plato 4 Tapas, definitely recommend the stuffed mussels, really good😋 For desserts, we had almond cake and chocolate helado, not as surprise as the first night but...
Read moreGood location right in the city square. Very busy. Service was partly good (from one of the waitress). Sangria was delicious, but the food was average. The bread was dry and felt old, the albóndigas didn’t look or taste homemade, the potato’s had too much Aioli on them. I recommend to taste the mushroom croquetas, the dates with bacon, and the sangria. Prices where OK.
Also, the whole evening felt “hurried” as one of the waitresses asked several times if we needed anything else and even brought the bill without us even asking. This for them to give the table to the next people in line and if course help their top-line sales.
Would...
