La Casona de Sóller — Restaurant in Sóller

We just came back from a rather disappointing dinner experience at this restaurant. The food (2 different fish dishes) was very mediocre, one dish was served cold. After complaining, the food was microwaved but still not very tasty. Furthermore, one of us had already finished eating when the reheated plate returned. We would have expected a dessert offer or coffee on the house as compensation but this didn't happen, there was not even an apology. When we tried to order dessert, the cheese cake on the menu was out. We had a tiramisu instead - it did not taste good at all, just very sweet, I would not even call it tiramisu since it had very little in common with this usually super nice Italian dessert. The service seemed overwhelmed by all the tables/understaffed and was not very attentive, however nice and friendly. The interior of the restaurant is also nice. Amazing food and service. New restaurant which is part of the hotel above, and there is nothing negative to say about it. The food is made with such care and thought that everything is really tasteful and delicious. The decoration is really well done. It all fits in just perfect and makes you feel as if you are in a quality place just by looking at it. When it's good weather, the terrace is the place to be as you can see Sóller's cathedral from your chair, and the life in this small town. The service is great! The people serving are very attentive, and are always on top of your needs and wishes. Last, but not least, Covid measures are in place throughout the whole restaurant. Staff are wearing masks all the time, tables are kept within a save distance from eachother and there is hand sanitizer in the entrance of the restaurant. A gem in the middle of the mountains and a must when coming to Mallorca!! We are looking forward eating here again :) Well done for...

The only good thing about this place is that the tables are seated on a nice street. Firstly, it took 15 minutes for someone to give us a menu and when we asked for one, we seemed a nuisance. We ordered 3 burgers and one salad for starter which took about 35 minutes to arrive, with the salad coming last. The burger was meant to come with chips and instead we got a plate of sliced potatoes drenched in oil. The waiters are inattentive and lazy, even with 4 of them working in a small space outside. Not once did any of them Check on us for more drinks in the period we were waiting for our food. Food was greasy and mediocre and I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this place. I am usually extremely patient and understanding when it comes to a delay in food but the fact that the waiters are so unbothered to be kind and apologetic about their ‘delay’, just ads to the disappointment...
